Hired All My Sons Moving to load a moving truck the Friday of Memorial Weekend. When I booked their services I had the ability to be flexible on my move date, Tuesday - Friday. After talking with them, we all determined Friday was the best. We hired this company to help us move from Hillsboro to Salem. When booking we asked if they could accommodate extra safety / sanitary measures due to high risk children in the household. They told us they could accommodate our request. When the movers showed up they were unwilling to accommodate the safety requests. My children are high risk and prone to illness so we are make sure to check that accommodations could be made. I have moved just about every year for the past 5-6 years, some out of state moves and this was by far the worst company I have ever experienced. I would have used my last moving company but they no longer operate in my area. I am single young woman moving within the same apartment complex to a one bedroom apartment. Dropped items, broke a glass lamp and tried to hide it, got blood on my mattress after not covering a cut, broke door step at house, and took twice as long as previous movers for same exact items.
This place I would never ever recommend! For the price, it was absolutely outrageous and still no one will get back to me!! I did the 2 hour minimum and the 1 hour of drive time they require, so add that up at $159.00 a hour... it took them one hour to load my small 950 square foot apartment up and then one hour drive time to my new place (which was not a hour away but only 18 minutes) then it took less then a hour to unload my stuff from the truck because I had others helping (which the movers said was fine it would cut dow... read more
Crew was nice enough but damaged the house I was moving out of and multiple items including appliances and heirlooms . One even rode my elementary age child’s bike into my garage. They definitely took their time moving to get a full days work. I regret hiring this company and would not make the same mistake in the future. I would have been better off hiring college kids
AVOID AT ALL COST They said they would be there between 8 and 9. everything was boxed up, the pets were being moved to the new place and they called 8 minutes before they were supposed to arrive and cancelled. They say they may have time in 2 days. no deal no price cut, not even a firm reschedule date. So frustrating and extremely expensive, with longer pro-rated rent, late fees extra time off work. I mention this on line and find that this is a very common occurrence for them.
Worst experience I have ever had with a moving company. Never again
My experience was disappointing. I had confirmed with someone in advance of moving a piano from a basement with stairs, indicating the need for a ramp. The 3 guys that showed on moving day were not physically fit for the job and could not move it. I had to pay for slower than normal service, unexplained wrapping that I would have set aside if asked, snack & smoke breaks, plus an hour of just waiting for a new team to arrive.
