Crew was nice enough but damaged the house I was moving out of and multiple items including appliances and heirlooms . One even rode my elementary age child’s bike into my garage. They definitely took their time moving to get a full days work. I regret hiring this company and would not make the same mistake in the future. I would have been better off hiring college kids
AVOID AT ALL COST They said they would be there between 8 and 9. everything was boxed up, the pets were being moved to the new place and they called 8 minutes before they were supposed to arrive and cancelled. They say they may have time in 2 days. no deal no price cut, not even a firm reschedule date. So frustrating and extremely expensive, with longer pro-rated rent, late fees extra time off work. I mention this on line and find that this is a very common occurrence for them.
Worst experience I have ever had with a moving company. Never again
My experience was disappointing. I had confirmed with someone in advance of moving a piano from a basement with stairs, indicating the need for a ramp. The 3 guys that showed on moving day were not physically fit for the job and could not move it. I had to pay for slower than normal service, unexplained wrapping that I would have set aside if asked, snack & smoke breaks, plus an hour of just waiting for a new team to arrive. If I could make this NEGATIVE STARS I would. But I’m forced to give them one just to write this review about how terrible they were. We scheduled our move date over three months ago and CONFIRMED NUMEROUS times for the date and time. June 26th we waited and waited for the movers to show up. 9am rolls around and no call no movers. We had a move scheduled for a Friday afternoon and the movers never showed up after taking a $200 deposit. I would give 0 stars if I could. They gave us zero notice and only offered to help us later the next week. All other moving companies in Portland are booked for the weekend and all of our belongings are already packed. After calling multiple moving companies I learned that this happens frequently with All My Son’s moving. If you are looking for movers look anywhere but here.
tl;dr: AMS lies about interactions you've had and puts it into their system as gospel, and will do nothing beyond the bare minimum to help you with any situation of which they are, solely, the cause. Avoid this national chain. They will not help you, they do not care about you. Terrible. Did not show of my move out on my date scheduled weeks in advance. 30 hours later the showed. On date of delivery, HOURS LATE WITH NO DISCOUNT in either case.
RecommendedEsteban and his crew were so professional and did an incredible job with my move from my house into a storage unit! I was extremely impressed by the way they handled everything and the end results of immaculate packing of my house into a storage unit. I have used All My Sons several years ago and will continue to use them in the future. I highly recommend them if you are moving and looking for a professional moving company with integrity, pride in their performance and reasonable prices!
