STAY AWAY from this company. They are such a ripoff! They charged my aunt $1500 to move a ONE BEDROOM apartment 10 miles away. They added a $200 charge for fuel even though they stated that was included in the travel cost. Do yourself a favor and check out MOXIE MOVERS. They moved my brother's 3 bedroom house 30.miles for less than $900. It was way more work for MUCH less money. They were faster and more professional than All My Son's.
AVOID!! They are not forth-coming when giving a quote, even after you ask. Very terrible business practices. They hike up prices the day before a scheduled move thinking you will have no other option.
I don’t even know where to begin.. Fiancé and I moved into our new home on 9/30. We scrounged up all the money we had at the time to be able to afford movers, under $1,000. We would’ve rented a uhaul and moved our belongings that way if we only knew… Long story short, All My Sons moving company told me one price over the phone and wrote down a price that DOUBLED what they told me. Be very careful dealing with this company! They hire unprofessional movers and assume no liability for their mistakes. Additionally, they work to find every chance to up-charge you on both time and materials. A few thoughts on my recent poor quality move with AMS: 1. I had about 3 heavy items, so I hired a 4 person crew specifically to deal with those items. Despite this, only 2 of the movers actually carried 90% of the goods - the other two did some wrapping and taping, but then actively avoided carrying anything more t... read more
Horrible experience. Every piece of furniture damaged. Washing machine looked like it was dropped. Expensive credenza irreparably damaged. Safe appears to have been dropped. Was unaware could purchase warranty for service. Showing just a few of my furniture pieces that used to look brand new, but are now ruined.
I will never use them again. I paid way more than I thought or wanted. I was told on the phone that it was $189 an hour for a 2 hour minimum. I was told I would get 3 movers. I got 4. You have to tip all of them. I didn’t find out about the additional fees tacked on What the heck is a travel charge? You charge a fuel fee. There’s your travel charge. While the movers themselves were great, the company is not. I was quoted $650-$700 for a move of 12 miles with only a few large items from a small 1 bedroom apartment. They arrived 30 minutes late and I was charged $1100! They charged $160 for fuel, $200 for travel time, and $150 for packing materials. They only used a few pads that they keep, some tape, a mattress bag, and plastic. I could have purchased all of that from Uhaul for less than $50. It hasn’t been a full 24 hours since my move and I am LIVID and NOT SATISFIED My mirror is broken. My bed was assembled incorrectly and half way correctly! They sent another crew out this morning to resemble only to discover that the crew before him BROKE THE BED! Plus, the entire platform was not screwed down! Thank god I didn’t sleep on it! If you want a fast move these guys are great. If you want your stuff to arrive in one piece and your floors not to be scratched up, look elsewhere. Upon moving, they left numerous tape rolls all over the floor, destroyed an upstairs closet door (and didn’t mention it to me I had to find it after the fact), broke china in boxes clearly labeled fragile, chipped and damaged furniture as well as door frames and incorrectly reassembled the furniture they had to take apart to move.
