Food was mediocre, ambience was terrible. Server brought our check without us asking. Definitely not worth it.
Had a reservation for inside. Was sat outside under a tree that dropped leaves in my food and in my wine. I pointed it out to the waiter and asked for a spoon to fish the leaves out of my wine. He brought me a spoon, but he probably should have just replaced my wine. Food is overpriced for the quality. There was no salt or pepper at the table. Bone marrow was over cooked. My lobster stuffed ravioli was delicious. However, the sea bass special was mediocre and somewhat dry. Salmon appeared to be overcooked and also dry. I would not order fish there.
The restaurant didn't have our reservation, we had to wait and we had specifically requested a table indoors for a special birthday dinner and after a wait, they put us outside. It was cold and not special at all. Waiter was ok, hosts were terrible
Everything is average except for one big thing. We ordered two Martinis. When the bill came it detailed $14 for each martini PLUS an absurd ADDITIONAL $4.50 “shake charge” for each martini. We were not told or warned. I asked to see the manager about the hidden charge, he refused to come to the table. They were so underhanded I’ll never return to be abused like that.
Food was not good. Very bland. Ambiance is cute and server was very friendly. I love the drink she recommend me. Unfortunately the food isn’t very good for the price.
We went to Allegro with family for NYE dinner, and I was sorely disappointed. (1) We had made an indoor reservation for 5, but when we arrived, were initially told they were no more indoor seats. After pushing the hostess on it, they sat us at two 2-seating tables pushed together, one of which was an inch taller the the other, and the other one of which was a rickety, non-stable dining table.
