Food was underwhelming. Taste was mediocre and most dishes were lukewarm. Really disappointing experience
I made birthday reservation for 6, 5 days in advance specifically requesting seating in lemon area and we were not accommodated as I was told it was only for 8 or more. I had asked for birthday recognition for my daughter, and this too was not feasible by restaurant. Experience was not great but decent. Our table held way too many glasses and dishes and had to continuously ask for removal of finished plates. I will not be inclined to ever revisit.
The food had no taste! Service was mediocre.
The food and ambiance where was great. However the service was terrible. When we arrived, the hostess walked us back and forth with no aim and eventually left us standing. Once we were seated, we did not get an information from the waiter who seemed rushed. We were in the middle of asking questions when he walked away without answering. Food came out before our drinks. Our server was nowhere to be found for the first 25 minutes we were sat. He brought out the wrong shots and charged us for both. Extremely disappointed since I heard such great reviews. Never going back.
Area outside was dirty, Restaurant week menu was not what was given to use when we ordered. They substituted items without informing us. Food looked like it was tossed on the plate and served. Always had to ask the waiter, never came by to say thank you or if you needed something. NOT worth the price or your time as so many other restaurants in the area.
Came here for a date night. The wine was great, the food was very very average and bland for the price. It didn’t not live up to the menus description and half the food was cold. The best part of all the food was the artichokes for the appetizer. I’d come back for wine but not for food
We made reservations at Allegro several days in advance. We arrived a little early and they tried seating us at a tiny table literally on the sidewalk. We said no thank you— that we would wait. A few minutes later the tried seating us in a main thoroughfare next to the kitchen. The table was rickety, the chairs broken. We said no thanks— that we would wait. Was looking forward to the lobster bisque and got it and it was terrible. Too salty to even eat had to send back and we never send food back. Even if it had a good flavor which it didn’t it was missing the lobster pieces. Server wasn’t friendly at all and was too rushed. It wasn’t overly crowded. Maybe they were short staffed which I would understand.
