Just disappointed
Mediocre food with criminal prices. I had very high Expectations with some of the reviews I saw for this place. The ambiance was pretty, however the amount of food you get vs prices is ridicoulous. I ordered the lobster ravioli which was $33, once my plate arrived there was FIVE raviolis on the plate. I left unsatisfied. My husband ordered their “32 ounce” tomahawk steak special that was supposed to include veggies and mash potatoes. The steak was maybe half the size and he had a few leaves for salad on the side. The place was buzzing, the table we were seated at in the Lemon room should be removed. It's toooo close to the wait station and cramped. I sent back my bolegnese meal as it was tasteless, no flavor. I got the pesto shrimp fettuccine instead which was very good. Service was excellent, and so was filet mignon and espresso martini.
I lived in Italy for a year, traveled there many times so I'd like to think I know a thing or 2 about Italian food. We ordered the fried zucchini blossoms which is a pretty basic dish to make and it was good, just, not enough flavor w/ the cheese. I split the special parmesan asparagus orecchiette. We didn’t get seated where we asked for and food was ok
Slow service and all our food was brought in increments of 10 minutes apart. Also outdoor fire pit was not working and tank was leaking gas - we had to shut off ourselves. I think the place is very nice but definitely understaffed for amount of patrons.
We walked in the place was so busy and I had a reservation they gave me a terrible table outside on the side walk then moved me inside to another table that was so wobbly and they did the saddest attempt to fix it and then gave up or something because it was never taken care of and I had to use the other table For my martinis the whole time. Server took forever to take orders and didn’t know ingredients in the drinks or dishes
Sat outside on patio and we immediately noticed the small plates on the table were dirty. Service was slow since it took 15 minutes from time we sat down to get a bottle of sparkling water and a glass of wine. Food runners were confused and tried to give us other tables food several times. When our food came out, my pasta dish was cold and looked like it was sitting for quite a while. Overall very disappointed with the service and would not recommend.
