"I purchased a 3-year Square Trade warrantee on an iPad in 2012. Almost as soon as the original Apple warrantee expired earlier this year I began having troubles with the iPad. Finally, I took it into a Genius Bar at a nearby Apple store and they said that the volume button was stuck and that the only repair possible was total replacement! To the tune of $299 plus tax!
