"I bought a 28" LCD monitor about 6 months ago, it was a refurb and it worked great until a month ago. "I purchased a SquareTrade Warranty on my DVD player/recorder. I liked the unit and was hopeful I wouldn't need to use the coverage. About a month before my warranty was over, my DVD recorder stopped working and kept flashing an error code. I tried to troubleshoot with the manufacturer, but it didn't work. They suggested a $100 repair! I contacted SquareTrade and was promptly satisfied! It would not be cost-effective to fix my unit, and I was refunded my purchase price within 2 days of contacting them! "Square Trade was the best experience I have ever had in dealing with any type of warranty/repair service. A repairman first came to my home to assess the situation. His service call bill was paid immediately. Once the final diagnosis was made that indicated my appliance would cost more to repair it rather than replace it, my original purchase price was refunded very quickly as well.
