Need a repair on a laptop I purchased from Walmart. I filed a claim on laptop which I had purchased the protection plan. Square Trade said it was still under manufacturer’s warranty and I needed to go to them.
Well I have to say that I've been dealing with SquareTrade for the past 6 years and this time was it really bad experience to my items my personal cell phone that was needed to borrow one was sent back because it was dropped in and needed to be repaired obviously having my insurance I figured I'd get it back within two to five business days I had a follow-up at the 9th or 10th business day they said they would get back with me within 24 hours I got an email saying that would get back with me as soon as they got a hold of the... read more

I finally received my refund that I was waiting for
The JVC kd-sx24bt receiver in the truck I drive stopped working. I called SquareTrade. They told me since the unit was less than a year old, that I should contact the manufacturer for warranty repair. I contacted JVC. They had me run a test on the unit. Still did not work. They had me mail it to a service center. I mailed it to United Radio, Syracuse, NY. The mailed it backed to me in about 2 weeks. Reinstalled in the truck. Now it works great. It uses power and ground from a fuse protected accessories circuit. Not connected... read more

I was supposed to receive my repaired item July 19th . On yesterday but instead It had been delivered to WI instead of NY. I do understand mistakes happens. But my son was extremely dissatisfied because it was his laptop. On his 11th birthday and we were truly excited leaving a celebration to make it home to pick up his delivered item. I have had 2 replacement phones at NO charge because of having Square Trade. When you contact them there are very few questions asked.
They initially agreed to replace my item (a jogging stroller that I procured on sale), and later decided to only give me the amount I paid for it, even though the original agreement explicitly states I would be reimbursed the replacement cost, not the purchase cost. Was an absolute bait and switch, poor business practice, and borderline unethical.
