3 weeks after my son received his new laptop in college, a friend cracked the screen. Squaretrade helped me file the claim and sent me everything i needed to send in the laptop for service. The customer service was great and the agent on the phone was helpful and professional
radio scanner intermittently failing ... warranty expired ... wait, didn't i get a SquareTrade multi-year deal? ... yes! ... think it'll work? ... no these things are probably a scam, but let's try....hmmm, need to upload a receipt...wait, don't they get the receipt when I make the purchase and buy their coverage? where's that receipt.... okay got it, uploaded, now mail in the device, prob have to wait a year for it to come back, bet they're gonna say it can't be fixed and then offer me only ten bucks as a consolation prize.... read more
Computer shipped and Received still Waiting for repair & return.
The process is still ongoing but we are making progress, the parts have been delivered and the technician is scheduled to arrive July 26 th to carry out the repairs.
I haven't received a shipping kit to send my package to get it repaired.
I was able to speak to a representative and file my claim with them verbally. I totally forgot that I had the maintenance agreement and it is one time that I’m glad I did. I will never buy anything without a protection plan. They’re inexpensive and well worth it.

Had an iPod Shuffle, purchased used, that, despite multiple efforts to troubleshoot, wouldn’t hold a charge. I’d purchased Square Trade coverage so called (yes, to a live person!) and James walked me thru the process. I had the option to get the iPod replaced (good luck with that!), return it for a full refund of keep it and get about 90% back.
