Something in the icemaker broke off and it had clogged up the back of it. There's a line that goes up the back of it, and the water had got up in that and froze. Kasey's Appliance Service came in and the tech took the part apart. He told me that there was ice in the back of the refrigerator, but there was no way I could see that. But that was the reason it was froze up and that was the reason the water was coming out the bottom of the refrigerator. He fixed it. He had to go get a part. Our dishwasher overflowed. I submitted a claim to American Home Shield and they sent GE Appliances to handle it. The tech from there figured out the problem that same day. He said that when my daughter was washing dishes, she used the wrong kind of detergent for my dishwasher which caused the overflow. Wit AHS, I know I can call somebody to come and fix problems. If it's not repairable, I know that AHS depending on what the item is, AHS will replace it.
Always have professional contractors, with good customer service. My experience with AHS is the contractors are knowledgeable in their field.
A-1 Wastewater Services came out to service the septic system at home. I submitted the claim online to American Home Shield and I went through quickly and had all my information already saved online for my payment, so it was very user-friendly for me. A-1's owner called me directly and gave me guidance of when he was expected to make the visit. They let me witness them cleaning the system when they were there. So I've been impressed thus far. My wife called American Home Shield for the washer and the contractor that came out seemed to do a good job. But we're still having a little bit of issue with it. With the connector that the tech fixed, you still have to put pressure on the door to get it to kick on and start. You have to kinda pressure your knee up against it and give it a little extra pressure on the door and it kicks right on. But it's working totally fine. So overall, the experience was fine. I am very pleased with my warranty with AHS. It covers EVERYTHING and is very affordable. I will continue to renew it every year and highly recommend it to every homeowner. They always get the requests handled very fast and efficiently.
My refrigerator was over icing and a technician from Astro Appliance came out. He was professional and he wore a mask wherever he was. He did some adjustments on the drawers in the freezer area, then he had to order parts and come back out. We had to wait a week or so for the parts and now, the refrigerator seems to be doing okay. I kept getting suds issue and the machine wouldn't run. I tried restarting it and resetting it but nothing worked. Sending in the claim was really easy and very quick. They dispatched someone and they told me right away who was gonna be calling me. Then a little short while later someone called me from Adams, so I didn't have to reach out to them first. I have had an American Home Shield Home Shield home warranty for a number of years now and it has been a blessing. AHS has either fixed or replaced my water heater, kitchen appliances, pool equipment and other things. Always timely and professionally while the cost to me was only $100 for the service call. I recommend AHS to all my homeowner friends.
