Always responsive and reliable. Communication is excellent and service has always been timely. I've had to call several times and AHS has always come through.
I've had an American Home Shield contract for about 2 years now and at this point I'm very satisfied. More recently, I'm having fewer uncovered repairs and I feel that the vendors have gotten better over time. For example, I had a plumber who came in about 2 years ago right when I started my contract and they were very unprofessional and unfocused. Absolutely wonderful and expedient customer service!
We've always had American Home Shield with all three properties. Every time we've moved, we've always stuck with them. We've been married for 18 years, so that's how long we've been with American Home Shield. Every time we've used them or there was an issue, they were able to fix the problem. Recently, All Star Appliance came out and fixed an issue. We're happy now.
American Home Shield should follow up on outstanding claims. They leave me on hold for hours and hours when I try to call them. Recently though, I had a power outage and submitting a claim to American Home Shield was really quick. Kelly Brothers Electric, one of their contractors came out and found that we had a loose wire in one outlet. They fixed my issue and provided excellent service.
My air conditioner wasn't working properly. Family Heating & Cooling was assigned by Home Shield to come out and it took them three days to get here but besides that, it was great. They said the AC needed a Freon recharge but it was so little, they didn't charge me for the actual Freon. Also, they said it's got a small leak but they can't find it. It's so minute of a leak that they're not detecting it. Hopefully, they can find it so I don't have this problem every year.
I've been with American Home Shield for 20 years now and things have been up and down with them. We had some issues involving air conditioning that caused some frustration. Overall though, we've had very good relations with AHS. Most recently, they sent ACE Heating & Cooling for our claim and the techs from there were timely and efficient.
