The first time United Air Temp came out, the AC wasn't cooling. They put some freon in and we thought it was fixed but we had a few cool days. When it turned hot again, the air was doing the same thing. The guy came out and changed the capacitor. He was supposed to come a third time to flush the system but when he got here, it was working good and he didn't think that it needed flushing. The air wasn't getting hot anymore and the people said the unit had gone bad. May Heating and Air was prompt with what they said they would come. After they put the unit in, the guy was telling me what he was gonna do and I said to just hook it up. Then I had one of that shoots up in the attic to come loose. After they did it, he had to come back out again. I also had a couple of times where I would have it set at 73 and it was getting 79 degrees in here. The guy came out. I bought my house in 2011 and I've had AHS since then, minus one year when I took a break and went with someone else but I came right back. I like that they're just on the spot, very quick and very affordable. The people that come out for their service calls are always very professional and very friendly. The service of the contractors that came out recently was great as well. I always refer everybody to American Home Shield.
My dryer wasn't drying. It was saying the drainage pump wasn't working. It would turn on for a few seconds for the cycle then it would stop. The little light that indicated the issue would flash, and it would stop. I filed the claim through the American Home Shield's website and it was easy to use. I didn't have any difficulty. Advanced Heating and AC was on time and I was happy with them. Submitting a claim to American Home Shield is quick and they send people right out. I’m good with them. I had another service and they were trying to find people to come out in my area.
For anything over two minutes, the microwave oven would just die. Everything would cut out totally. Dream Quest came out and it was great. The technician looked at it and said it was toast, that there was nothing they could do for me and that they couldn't get parts for it. So I guess they put the order in. We've had American Home Shield for over 20 years. It's as long as we’ve had the house we live in. We like that if something goes wrong, we have that service immediately. Over the years, we've ended up using it quite a bit. Our house is a little older, so American Home Shield has been well worth it for us. I had a claim when the AC wasn't blowing cold enough air. Desert Cooling Systems came and did a good job. They found where the refrigerant was low, and they recharged it that same day. They seemed very nice and courteous.
Hutch's Plumbing replaced the outside faucet that was leaking. They tried to just replace the knob stuff and it wouldn't come out, so they had to replace the whole thing, which meant they had to go under the house. So they did a really good job. They also came out quickly after I submitted the claim. All in all, my experience with American Home Shield was great. They're also better than that last provider we had because with AHS, we have a plumber. We didn't with the other one because the one they had was four hours away.
