They have consistently followed through and most often dealt fairly with me and any repairs that have been needed.
I have used them twice now and they are always polite and professional
We've had them for 4 years, the few times we've had to call them for help, they were very friendly on the phone, told us who would be calling for a service call and when they would be calling us to coonfirm. Both service calls were handled by companies that have good local reputations, so I was glad to see that. One of the calls turned into a total water heater replacement. The new unit was installed 2 days later, with a small out of pocket expense. I am very satisfied with American Home Shield.
Excellent service to resolve your issues
I have been with AHS for three years now and it seemed very hard to get claims resolved last year. I had a stove and a microwave, and the microwave came with the wrong size. It didn't fit. When I had trouble with the ice maker the contractor was terrible and they came out a couple of times. The way that it was handled was a little bit unprofessional. Our drain in the kitchen was stopped up. I called American Home Shield the first time and it was no problem. I did it on a Friday and the guy came out Monday morning. Then last week, we had an issue with our washing machine and I did it online and it took about two days and somebody got out here and took care of that. So the online process was very easy as well.
Was a bit disappointed that my $125 seevice fee didnt cover what needed to be done, BUT that being said the request went smoothly. I was notified that the request was received and who the assigned contractor would be, within minutes. He came out in less than 48 hours and problem was resolved. Despite the cost not really being covered, will keep the warranty plan because it could be useful if you have a major issue or an appliance needs replacing.

Excellent service. When 1st contractor dispatched to our home didn't meet our needs, AHS was quick to respond and dispatched another contractor who did excellent work!!
