ABK Lock & Safe came to rekey an outside door. I just went through the website of my home insurance policy AHS. They have been very courteous, professional and efficient.
The furnace wouldn’t run, kept shutting off, and wouldn’t heat up like it should. AHS sent out Eagle Air and they fixed the problem. They were really nice. They explained everything and told me what they were doing. I had a really good experience with them and if I had to use anyone again, I would use them.
My washer started leaking. American Home Shield responded quickly and sent Sears out to fix it. Sears delayed the repair as they needed to order 3 parts one of which was backordered for 2 months. Eventually the parts were delivered and Sears returned and decided that the washer was not fixable, they didn't even use the parts. They contacted American Home Shield and reported their findings. I was pretty satisfied with my AHS experience. The contractor came out within three days after I called in my claim. The drain part of the sink was leaking and the contractor changed out the little coupling for the sink. I wasn’t there, but my wife was. She said that it went pretty well and the contractor was cool about it. Although my rate is kinda expensive, I like the quick service.
My gas range had several issues and AHS deemed it a Total Loss. It was replaced with a gas range that was almost identical to the one that was broken. I had a black, five burner gas range. The replacement was a brand new, black, five burner gas range that is simply beautiful and I love it. The assessment and replacement was done in a professional, timely manner and I am totally satisfied with AHS. I recommend AHS wholeheartedly. I call them my Handyman extraordinaire!
More Than Plumbing came out to check a leak that was on the outside of the house. He fixed a pipe and then determined that it wasn’t covered under our warranty. Then our dishwasher stopped working. We’re still waiting now. The person who came out said that he needed to order some parts, but they didn't make them anymore. So, American Home Shield was supposed to call us and talk to us about replacing the dishwasher, and we were told this on Thursday, but they haven't gotten in contact with us yet.
Submitting the claim took a long time. You have to go through so many channels, but if they could go a little faster, go right to the point instead of going through all the other stuff, that would be great. It’s not a big deal though. I still have my home warranty. Another thing is that, everything’s done from overseas nowadays and I barely understood. If there was a complaint issue, that would be it. I had a wall oven to install and D&J Appliances brought the unit in. They were friendly and professional. They measured my unit that was still in the wall and they told me I needed three-quarters of an inch more space. They took it out enough to measure and they put it back in so I could continue to use it. I was responsible for any modifications so I had to contact someone to come out to give me those three quarters of an inch that I needed. Still, it was a good experience with Home Shield.
He was very helpful and found something that needed fixing.
