American Home Shield replaced our water heater. They also had someone do some maintenance on the dryer as well as on the dishwasher. Recently, our garbage disposal wasn’t running properly. They had Springdale Plumbing come out and they replaced the piece that was leaking. They said it was better to replace it.
I had a home warranty before and I recently signed up again. I’m a Realtor with Coldwell Banker and we offer American Home Shield through our office. AHS had Sears come out for a claim I made and it was a good experience. The man was very nice and careful with all the precautions in place. He took his time. He had to maybe clean out something in my dishwasher.
American Home Shield has made my life so much easier. I've had them for quite a while and every experience I’ve had has been very good. I recommend them to a lot of people. Our air conditioner wasn't cooling and I called in a claim to AHS. Everything went fine and the tech sent by their contracting company was very helpful. Everything has been working well since. Working with AHS was a good experience.
Doing claims with American Home Shield is fairly easy. The only problem was you're speaking to machines for a while. I did not do my claim online. I called. They sent Drain Masters, and we had a very good experience. I had three separate issues that they addressed. They checked it, ordered parts and were back and had it done within a week.
The two contractors that we’ve had out here recently were fantastic. I was very happy with it. We had a hot water heater issue, and then we had a problem with the burner on the oven of our stove. With the stove, I called in the issue to American Home Shield and they set me up with the appliance company. They turned it around efficiently. One of our condensing units was making a little bit noise. So we had it checked out before summer came. It was short on charge, so the contractor went ahead and added charge. That cost wasn’t included so we had to pay them extra.
STL Plumbing came out for an issue recently. It sounded like air in the plumbing valve in our bathroom. It turned out that we didn’t need a plumber after all. We needed another type of technician. It was an HVAC person that we needed. But it went fine.
DLS Appliance Expert came out for an issue recently. They answered fairly quickly all things considered. Then they fixed the problem. I had a question on another item that I'm having trouble with whether it was covered or not. And AHS was hard to get a hold of. I couldn't reach them by phone. I think it was 'cause they're super busy with the whole COVID thing.
