Since purchasing this warranty I have filed only two repairs but on the same service call. The contracted company came out and repaired one of the appliances but said they didn’t have a work order for the second appliance. I called AHS while the technician was still at the house only to he told yes it should have been for both but only one of the work orders was received by the assigned contractor. They assured me it would be remedy very quickly and a service call would be scheduled for the second appliance. After six weeks ... read more

I have had amrican home for 3 years, Nothing but problems getting any good repair service. over the 4th of July this year it took them 2 WEEKS to get my AC repaired. 100 degree heat every day. Their customer service are now all outsourced to the Philippines, so your lucky to get anyone that speaks english, they are nice people, they just do not know how to do the work that need's to be done. Put in claim for new water heater in December.2019. Recieved a check for new water heater with the wrong payee name on it. Spoke to AHS and reported the problem...even emailed a copy of the wrong check and mailed the physical check back on 1/6/20. As of 1/28/20 ...I haven't recieved the corrected payment nor any correspondence or communication from AHS. Hello, I need a water heater dir obvious reasons. What's the point of paying AHS for this insurance...if they're not taking my situation serioulsy

This place is a sorry excuse for a home warranty our water broke the sent 2 plumbing techs from Jnm hpc inc out of which neither of them had any idea what they were doing both stunk like dirty ass they took hours to fix there are 3 parts on a water heater that can be changed so not rocket science. Would NOT AT ALL RECOMMEND AMERICAN HOME SHIELD OR JNM HPC INC

I had my A/C repaired on August 7 came out of pocket $1000 within on August 18 it stopped working technician came out stated it was an issue from the original repair. Then the following week it stopped again called the repair company told to call AHS waited 4 days for repairs. During that time I had a house with sick Children with high fever. This company is the worst company you can ever do business with. My A/C went out back in June 2019 and I called Homeshield and they had a contractor come look at the next day. They said I needed a part that Homeshield would have to order. Homeshield authorized on June 19 and then on June 20th I was told the part was ordered. It is now 3 weeks later and still no part. I have called and multiple reps just keep saying the same thing. They know absolutely nothing or when the part will arrive. I have been without A/C for three fr... read more

Had a sewer backup issue after moving in are new home for a week. Called american homensheild they send out a Plummer. He said he couldn't clean out the sewar line because the clean out is in the crawl space. He was here for 10 minutes and left didnt do or fix anything. The plumber told the American home shield that the floor will have to be torn out and there not covering it. That is false there are many other options that can be done. Edited 6-24-19 ....added to end. TERRIBLE. Delay and inconvenience tactics. I have had work orders for my clothes dryer since FEBRUARY. GE service tech is here AGAIN for 8th time. Taking dryer apart AGAIN. 8 times we have stayed home and waited on AHS to have a repairman out to bandaid the issue and as soon as they leave the SAME THING HAPPENS. misleading and shady business.
