My AHS home warranty was provided to me by the seller of the house. The purchase of the AHS contract was handled through the escrow company. AHS provided a written quote for the warranty to the escrow company. The escrow company paid the quoted price. Then, the warranty agreement was issued, but the agreement price changed to an additional $150 from the quoted and paid amount. They don’t cover the easiest problems! Denied a stopped up bathroom sink but charged me to have someone come out who ended up flooding my bathroom. Not only did they keep my service charge of $75, they refused to take responsibility of their contractors damage. Been waiting days on a “supervisor” to call me back! Terrible coverage and horrible customer service. A total waste of money!

Don't waste your money. We had our Hot Water Heater service twice in Nov 2019. The plumber said we needed a new one. This is March 20, 2020 and still no reimbursement/ check for a new one. I have called them several times and am still waiting. Our heater has a small leak so now back to back showers, but one person can shower every morning.; There are 3 living here and one works. there are a lot of technicalities where a repair isn't really covered by American Home Shield. When they send a repair person out they try to up sell you for exuberant prices. For example, I had garage door coverage, but when the repair person got to my home I found that the coverage was for the garage door opener only. If I could give zero. We have dutifully paid them. Our refrigerator dies, they can’t be bothered.. as of this writing we are over a month w no fridge. THEIR tech said they could not fix it. Now they want another tech to try. It has been over a month! We are living out of ice chests in the bathtub. We have two small autistic children. AHS does not care. Been their customer for 19 yrs. AC broke, Repair tech broke door handle, felt very bad, apologized three times. I was not mad, figured his boss would pay. But the owner told AHS, "it fell into his hand" and was "old", the part from the door, which is impossible given its design. It could only break if force applied. Owner refused to pay. We placed a call into AHS on 12/26 due to a sewage plumbing issue that caused all our plumbing to back up, including sewage in our basement. Although Kyle (supervisor), assured us he would have someone out that day. No calls or service! We finally were able to reach someone the following day when they stated there was no record of our service call!!!
