It's been a little hit-and-miss so far. I have placed 2 service requests. Both were filled relatively quickly. However the first - a home heating tune-up - was pretty badly managed. We never heard that the technician was being scheduled - so he in fact showed up completely unannounced. Hours later we got an email telling us he'd be there that morning. Well...he was! In the time we've been with American Home Shield, they have made sure we've been satisfied with the contractors sent for repairs. If we had an issue, they made it right. They respond quickly and a contractor is always in touch within 24 hours. We are extremely satisfied with AHS.
I have had to use AHS twice pretty soon after I signed up. Both times the problems were resolved relatively quickly. I have so much peace of mind knowing I have AHS to rely on!
AHS was great! I called about a plumbing issue and they came within 48hrs to fix the leak!
So far the coverage for our claims has been handled promptly and without hassles. The communication experience is great as well with quick feedback from AHS and then the technicians they work with.
I have had this policy for about 14 months. A few issues have come up with my pool equipment, and every time they have sent a technician out to either repair the problem or replace the equipment. I haven't had any issues with them and I am so happy. Several people told me home warranties were a waste of money, but as a single mom, I was afraid not to have one. I am thankful for the great customer service at American Home Shield and the contractors they use.
We were very pleased with the response from AHS when our heat pump was experiencing issues. AHS coordinated a service call with Accent Heating and they scheduled an appointment the following day. The issue was identified and AHS approved the repairs, which occurred the following day. We would highly recommend AHS as your home warranty option.
I love American Home Shield. I can call them whenever there's an issue and I only have to pay the small fee. They fix it all. Yea!
I first experienced AHS when I purchased an older home back in the 80's. I t was a lifesaver then...and I have maintained a policy on my next home as well. It is a wonderful investment. For a small monthly payment I have peace of mind. My current home was built in 1979 and although I do keep things up...everything eventually wears out. AHS just replaced my ice maker in my refrigerator/freezer that had exceeded it's 5-year warranty period. That would have been several hundred dollars.
