We bought our pool on May 15,2020 and was told there is a 2 week wait for installation. AWESOME!! We received our pool and permit on May 20. Tried to get our sales person on the phone with no luck, called the store and they told us that we are on the schedule for installation for June 15-30. A lot later than we though, but understood because of how crazy the world is right now. We were told the installer would call us that week with a date. Purchased a swimming pool 5/16/20, was told it would be installed mid to end of June. Accepted delivery June 4. I called multiple times for an install date and couldn’t get a solid answer. I’ve now paid to obtain the permit from Joliet, paid an electrician for pre-work. After MULTIPLE calls and emails, I worked with Danielle at Romeoville, she got me an install date of July 1. Can I do zero stars? I have had a top of the line Hot Springs tub with non stop issues, and yes this is not on American Sale, but what is on American Sale is their support they offer. I have been calling every day for the past 3 weeks with either no answer or being told they have emailed this "Tony" guy, by now this guy has gotten at least 15 emails about my issues and has NEVRE replied or called me back as promised. Purchased new patio furniture and paid in full with a delivery date two weeks later. Seemed odd to be two weeks later for an in stock item, but figured their logistics might be strained due to increase sales. Delivery date comes, delivery is late due to the truck breaking down. Notified after delivery that not all items were available and that the cushions for the items that were delivered are missing. Purchased a pool from American Sale 5/23/2020 after seeing the owner being interviewed on the news. The same day we bought the pool I decided to upgrade the pool to larger size. Called sales rep and they made the change. I was suppose to get a receipt of the increased size by email, this never happened . Bought pool on 5/15 and took delivery a couple of days later with the understanding of install to be 3 weeks after. I understand the covid effect of things may take longer, but if a sales person is lying to customers on installs this is unethical to make a sale and convince people to take delivery right away when they had no intension to install right away. Also I have been trying to get a hold of customer service for weeks and received an automated message that it will take 5 business days and no response at 9 business days... read more

I bought an above ground pool and paid over $5000 on May 7th, the day they reopened after COVID19 shut down, and was told Installation would take place about 3 week later, to wait for the installer to call to set up an installation appointment. It has been more than three weeks and I have not received any notification on when the installation can take place. I couldn’t be more disappointed with my experience. I originally ordered a 34x18 pool. On April 28. I was told it was on back order and wouldn’t be in until May 18. I was ok with that so I set the install up for May 28. I stared calling the week of May 18 to find out when it could be delivered. I called three times. Finally I got ahold of my sales Rep Tony *****. He told me I could no longer have that pool. Obviously I was very disappointed but I agree to a smaller size pool. In regards to the pool not being measured right, we often see that deck modifications need to be made to accommodate the pools. Many customers will remove deck boards and rework the deck to make the proper fit for the pools. This may be what needs to be done for yours. Very upset, I ordered online a brand new 12x12 intex pool cover and they sold me a discolored and dirty 12x12 intex pool cover and at the website they dont have anything that let me return it. Do not recommend this store. I will need someone to contact me and let me know how I can return it. I have all pictures if someone want to see it.
