Bought a hot tub. Tub was defective from day one. Egotistical service people tried to fix several times. Tried blaming poor installation and everything else. Ended up buying replacement tub somewhere else and it worked perfectly.

We recently purchased Christmas decorations on line from American Sale in Sept. 2015. I went to install the decorations Dec.14, 2015 and they came out of the box falling apart and are the worst quality I've ever seen. I called the company to return them and was told that they have a 15 day return policy. Now I am not in the habit of putting up my Christmas decorations in Sept. So now I have $213.77 in junk lights that I'll never use and I'll NEVER call on American Sale again.

Avoid American Sales in Naperville at all costs - their customer service is the worst and heaven forbid you have a return over 30 days old. Only store credits are issued even on items that are defective. The store was empty today when everywhere else I shopped were packed?? Their poor customer service has a lot to do with that !!!! This is not the first problem I have had with their poor customer service policies and we mistakenly made another purchase and were disappointed again?? Never again !!! Beware!!

American Sale has an interesting business model one should be aware of prior to purchasing anything that you are setting up for delivery. I learned of this model in the last week when I was informed they could not deliver something I paid for because they sold it out of stock. Bryan in Naperville explained to me that American Sale stands behind the price of something but they do not stand behind stock levels. Manager Bryan is both inflexible and doesn't trust the customer at the expense of his own "knowledge." I bought a $2000+ Weber grill that should have included two Weber grill lights. Took the grill home and thought I would return to get the lights that were obviously left off the grill. Bryan was adamant that they weren't originally included and wouldn't consider the fact that he might be wrong. Well, Weber themselves have corrected his mistake. It amazes me that despite the comments about customer service or lack thereof, they haven't improved. I've had the same issue with the place for a couple of years. Walking in there during the week is like a walk in the desert, you're likely to come across a tumble weed before you come across a sales associate. I love all the cool stuff in the place and it's fine if you know what you're looking for and you don't need assistance but if you need help with something, go to The Great Escape.

RUN!!!!!!!!! do not shop here. customer service is absolutely the worst I have ever had in my life. Bought a $1200 grill march 3rd. Did not get it until April 20th only because I DROVe to their distribution center in tinley park to get it otherwise the lord only knows when I would have received it. was given $150 gift card but what good is that going to do when I dont want to stop at this store not even with a $150 gift card. do not buy, order, nothing hurry up and walk out if you are reading this in the store.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I ordered a hot tub cover from them back in Nov of 2012 it is now end of February 2013 I just received the wrong cover I went in Jan and lance "sales guy" told us he had better things to do then have customer service. Working in customer service myself for 5 + yrs. I was outraged. Our order was never placed even thought they charged credit card. I spoke to the assent manger John. Worst customer service in the world. Hard to ask two people for help in the pool room area as I needed information on refelting my table. Neither could help, both were searching their iPads for information before telling the ONE girl who knew about it just left for lunch. No sense of urgency, no customer service attitude. The store personnel were all concentrating on wrapping up left over Christmas stock and had no interest in helping customers, I won't go back.
