Oh my - don't ever waste your money on having them close your pool!!!! It cost me $450, I have lived through a number of times during a 2 week period of promises that the team would show and each time promised they never did all to have them finally show, close the pool, and 6 days later my cover is floating in the pool! I have been calling since Sunday - this is Friday and have no clue when someone will be out. The clear water that should have been under the pool cover is now filled with muck from the cover. No one came up to ask us if we needed any help. They did not have sale prices and did not have what we needed. My husband and I walked out. We will not be returning to this store. American Sale lost out business and MONEY. We went to The Great Escape in Orland Park, IL and spent well over $200. They have great customer service, prices and merchandise.

I shopped online with AmericanSale.com The date of my order was 2/1/2013. I bought 4 animated deer and put them away for Christmas gifts. You can imagine how disappointed everyone was when I gave them the gifts last week! ..ALL 4 OF THEM WERE DEFECTIVE AND UNUSABLE! Buyers Beware! We bought a pool and hot tub in 2007 which was a considerable amount of money. We did not get the pool we ordered, they said they replaced it with a better pool. The filter and heater went out years ago. This year the walls of the pool are corroding, contacted customer service, they are no help at all. The warranty on the pools are LIMITED, and from Canada. I bought a very expensive hot tub there in Feb. It was delivered in Apr. and in May I called and reported a problem with the heater. American sales service came out and said it was my electrical hook-up and would not even look at the heater until it was fixed. I called a certified electrician who wired as per their instructions and still it was the heater. Again, they claimed it was my electric, without even testing the heater. Seriously?!? I like how they double or triple the prices on their items just to claim they're selling them "50 % off". In reality, they're selling their stuff slightly above or at the exact price as other stores! I went to look at some costumes and Spooky village stuff because I saw an ad stating "50% off" these pieces. When I looked at the "original price" of these items, it was double what is being sold everywhere else. When I asked one of the employees where the 50% off stuff was he told me I was looking at it. Installers need to be a little more courteous about customer's yard and more organized. Walked thru flower beds and garden and had tools and boxes and trash ALL over the yard until they were finished. On the plus side, they are fast and Chris, from Midwest Pool Installers, knows what he is doing.

Val did a great job and your deleivery crew was fantastic. I'm not sure who packaged our patio set but glueing Styrofoam to our tabletop was NOT acceptable. Also telling me that your short on chairs for any reason is not acceptable nor do I have to understand. If you are going to sell top dollar items and ask customers to pay top dollar for those items, then you better be able to deliver complete sets, undamaged, with NO excuses. I purchased a pool from them. The service in the store was good. The reason I give 2 stars is because we had them install the pool. That was a nightmare. They fail to tell you that they don't haul away the dirt they dig up in your yard. So here we had a pile of dirt in our driveway and the people doing the installation did not take it. I had to call around to different places and they wouldn't take it. I finally found someone who took it away and dumped it. Had I known this ahead of time I could have either arranged ... read more
