Purchased a outdoor cantilever umbrella, scheduled delivery and it showed up on time, without all the correct pieces to put together. I did purchase white glove delivery. So called the store the next day and they rescheduled a person to come out with the correct parts, guess communication was poor at the store as he still did not have what was needed. Purchased a beautiful pool last year. The liner had big divots in it and I was asked if I could wait until this year to have them come and put it in. I was ok with that because it was already the end of the summer. Bad mistake, I was told I would be at the top of the list and their customer service has been horrible through this entire process. Just returned a Christmas tree to American Sales. It smelled of mold. We were the third return for the same tree, and they still had this tree on their sales floor selling it to unsuspecting customers. They didn't care. Don't shop there.

Nope. Not going back. Walked in on a Sunday afternoon. The store was not crowded. There were many employees working. Not one spoke to me, or even made eye contact. Or to any other customer as far as I can tell. But the employees did talk to each other just fine. I could have been in the market to pay cash for a hot tub fully installed, but no one working that day was going to help me make a purchase. I was looking for a Christmas countdown clock. American Sales owns and runs this halloween store at 160th and Harlem in Tinley Park. They had crazy good prices but the talk lanky manager told me they would be open on Monday Nov 2nd for the last day. He told me this on Nov 1st. I drive here it's 1030 am and the guy moving stuff around on the inside says he was wrong that they are not open. WTF. Drove here for nothing.
I am only giving this business one star because that is the lowest I can go. "DANGER! DANGER! WILL ROBINSON!" Do NOT go to this store. As others have written the customer service is horrible, abominable, reprehensible, just plain BAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I would never recommend this place to anyone. AWFUL customer service! We entered the store and were soon rudely approached by an employee that began to tell us they were not open yet. We weren't aware of this since their doors were unlocked and we were able to walk right in. We apologized but this employee was very rude and we will never return to this store.
Does anyone know if American Sale offers "price match" if an item is found at a lesser price at several other competitors? And do they give you credit or a refund back if any? I loved my experience however I found several other outfits that offered my same exact item at an extremely better price. If they did offer the price match, then American Sale would get a complete 5 star rating from me as we have done several purchases in the past.
Bought a pool form these guys in June 2014, by August there were several holes in the liner that needed to be patched. The liners they sell are garbage, they skimp on quality in order to raise their GM%. In addition, hardware was already rusting around the skimmer after a month. I bought from them because they were a little cheaper then some other stores, but in retrospect, I should have payed a little more elsewhere to save the headaches in the future.
