We had Amerigas for year at our ranch. Last year in the cold dead of winter we called because the tank was low and needed to be filled. We have a family with young children living in the house. We called on multiple occasions and were told it was scheduled. They never showed up. We cancelled their service and went with a local company that we could contact (not a foreign service center). Delivery whenever they want. Got 40 gallons lp in September 2023 was charged full Delivery fee when I didn't need lp. Just did it again Dec 16 Delivered 72 gallons lp and again charged me for full delivery. Also installed a meter that they can read so they know when I need a delivery and charged me for that. Scheduled an appointment for a tank pick up 3 weeks in advance and they never showed up. Who knows when they will show to pick up my tank. Website never works and called 6 times before I got through to anyone. Would not recommend this company for your propane needs.
I would give it zero stars if it was possible. Worst and most fraudulent company I've dealt with. They have shown our tank at zero percent for months and nobody calls or comes out to refill our tank. There is no local number to call. You get directed to a call center in Indonesia where the people barely speak English and don't care one bit that your tank is empty and you're freezing to death. Amerigas charges you way too much for propane. I was on a locked price and auto fill plan which renewed yearly. I discovered that Amerigas charged me significantly more almost double the price of the average cost for propane in my area. I’ve had to call many times for a refill even though I was on automatic fill up. And, many times they’d come and not fill the tank. I am paying $4.99 a gallon for propane. Amerigas is horrible. Their customer care representatives have no idea what they are talking about and never help. I feel like I've received hundreds of lies. I purchased and paid for a 500 gallon propane tank in July of 2022. I have their bill of sale that states that I paid in full. In july of 2023 they billed me AGAIN for the tank and after hundreds of calls, I still cannot get the bill resolved. I called AmeriGas to fill my two 500 gallon customer owned propane tanks they serviced these tanks for several years so I didn’t think it was going to be a problem well lo and behold they sent Karen with a clipboard out to deliver the gas and he saw that the tanks were 9‘10“ away from my building, and they have a 10 foot minimum, even though they set the tanks and serviced them for years. there customer service is the absolute worst. they will argue with you on the phone when they in the wrong. trying to charge my for a rental fee when I’ve had 2 deliveries. spoke with 2 different reps to have fee removed and told fee would be removed. instead when I logged into my acct I still had the fee and 2 late fees. Ive never had gas before and i bought my house and it has been absolutely horrible experience. Then put me on a silent hold and never picked back up
Amerigas has screwed up again. In February 2023, they invoiced me for a tank pressure test, which I had not ordered and which they had not performed. After 3 chat sessions and 5 phone conversation totaling over 2 hours, they credited my account. Yesterday, 12/14/23, they filled my tank with 200+ gal (over $1,000) claiming that I had called and made the request. I made no such request. I am and have been on "will call" since last February.
