Being charged rental fee on a Amerigas propane tank that has a faulty gage and has caused us to run out of gas twice in the last 3 years. After 3 years of them saying they are going to replace it they still have not and continues to try and charge us a rental fee on a tank that has caused us to run out of gas twice and won't fix
I am very disappointed in this company. They promised a delivery of propane yesterday after waiting almost two weeks. They did not come. Calls to the local office go unanswered. Calls to the national office are no help. They promised a delivery first thing this morning. No delivery. Promised I would get over by eight tonight. No delivery. Very sneaky, their business practices are very poor. We were cancelling our account on 12/30/2025 after 20 + years of service. We had already spoken to Amerigas about the plans. They wanted $199.00 to dispatch the truck and $399.00 to pick up the tank , so today 12/22/2025 they sent a truck and basically stole they're tank . I purchased a house with the Amerigas tank. Not knowing the company reputation I signed up for the service. I did run in to problems with them letting me run out after I called several times to let them know I was low and they could not come out for 3 weeks. They did not show up in the 3 weeks we were told they would come. They said no one was there which was not true.I had problems with customer service trying to charge extra fee's to come out once I ran out a month later. Be prepared to deal with a company that has no customer relations. It's going to cost me $419 to return an empty 250 gallon tank. I was told that nothing can be done because that charge is legit.
This business is a scam. You will never get any American on the phone if you have any issues with your tank or need a delivery. I would not recommend this company to anyone. There are cheaper places to use with better customer service. I do not like being scammed and them trying to charge me for every little thing that should be there problem. There needs to be an in state customer service not some out of state or out of country customer service line!
I have been an AmeriGas residential customer since July 2022 and consume approximately 250 gallons of propane per month. From the beginning, I have been enrolled in their budget plan and have paid faithfully and on time every single ******** October, I unexpectedly received a past-due notice on my account. Amerigas does not deliver when they say they will. If you call and need a immediate refill they don't arrive until 2 weeks later. They want you to pay 300 for an emergency refill and say they will deliver the same day but when you pay for the emergency delivery they then tell you they will come in 24 hours. Bad company
They lied and charged us an outstanding amount. Sent people to our house and charged us without us knowing. Charged us over 10 late fees while I was paying it . DO NOT go with this company . Every person we talked to was rude and didnt help with anything. We even threatened legal route because of them lying and charging us at their fault.
