The worst gas company out there.They let my 89 year olds tank run out,& then tried to charge 300 extra for an emergency fill up. Had many bad experiences with them, as they are now the largest supplier in the **, & could care less if they lose a customer.We switched to a small family supplier.

Amerigas is an overpriced company. They are more concerned about money than they are about their reputation. I have been buying their product for 18 years and have decided to buy from a local family-owned company that will not steal my money. During this transition Amerigas wants to charge me $419.98 to pick up their propane tank.Stay away from this money hungry company if at all possible!

**************** is horrible at **********************. This past summer I scheduled with them a site assessment to install an additional tank for a new generator I was having installed. AmeriGas did not show up on the scheduled date. They left me a VM 1 day prior. The appointment was scheduled a month in advance. I reschedule, which was 3 weeks out, and no show again, and VM a day or two prior to appointment. Rescheduled a 3rd time, no cancellation VM, and no show. Absolutely a night mare for a gas company. Ordered gas during a .25 a gallon rebate time. Driver showed up and stated tank was full. I get gas once a year ( only for gas logs) and knew I had used them quite a bit the year before so no way it is full. So maybe a gauge problem? So the lady on the phone says she can schedule a service call for a fee even though I rent the tank from them! Rediculous! She days they can schedule another delivery and the driver can check gauge again when he comes but no .25 cent discount! Rip off! ... read more

I've been a customer for over 15 years! I've paid 150 to rent a tank every year. I've filled my tank as my one fireplace will burn. i called to order gas today. 4.50 a gallon with 2 other local companies called one at 2.85 and one at 3.05 respectively. Also I was told I had to pay a ****** for a serviceman to check for a leak, I still have 30 percent. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Do not use their vending machines. I used one to exchange a tank, it charged my card, took my exchange and then never opened to provide a new one. When I called they said they didn't see the transaction (which I could clearly see came out of my account) and there was nothing they could do for me. They stole my tank and money.

TLDR:- Horrendous customer service that is outsourced to the lowest bidder.- Shady business practices / anti consumer.- Good luck ever trying to resolve a dispute or claim.Absolutely one of the worst companies out there, steer clear of these crooks. We bought a new house that had tanks leased to Amerigas so we figured we'd give them a shot. We were double billed and spent month attempting to get things resolved. Dont even call this company. It is a scam. After missing three appointments I went with another vendor but they are harassing me to pay them nearly $300.
