AmeriGas sold me a propane tank with a bad nozzle where the fuel will not come out. Tried it on four different pits and did not work. Spoke with the eight hundred number and without the sales receipt/code they would not exchange it. I had taken the propane tank to the lake so when I returned 2 months later I had did not have proof of purchase. For under $20 they lost my propane business and my lake house propane business. I spend approx $1400 per year with them. not a wise business decision.
HORRIBLE COMPANY!! for the past 6 years, have tried to order online and everytime I get to the end of the transaction it says error please call. Every single time! The call is ALWAYS painful. I sit through on average 10 to 16 mins of questions and hold time in between questions and struggle to understand what they are even asking me. This is undoubtedly the WORST company I have ever dealt with!! No customer service and they do not help you at all! I had a bill for $ 12,000.00! I live in a 1300 sq ft house just me and my husband. In the mean time I had received my normal bill for $86.00 They could not figure it out and I since have received 4 notices that the $12,000.00 is past due with a late charge!!! I can’t get any help! I’ve called 4 times and each time they say they will investigate and I still get the past letter! Run from this company (if you can)
The worst. Avoid at all costs. I cancelled my service with them because their responsiveness was so bad and have been trying since 2022 to get them to remove their tank from my yard. For the love of all things holy, PLEASE use anyone else. These folks simply do not care.
On May 25 we had a service tech to our home to do a site survey to bury a propane tank at our new home. We were charged $99.99 for the survey. When asked how long before the tank was buried & the service operational. He said 4-6 weeks & that he would follow up & let us know the status. As of today July 11, almost 7 weeks, & we not had anyone at the company contact us. Customer service is useless & cannot help with a status.
Amerigas is the absolute WORST company EVER!I would absolutely NEVER,EVER recommend.
When we moved into our new house it had Amerigas Propane tank. We used their service the first year. Before the next winter season we shopped around and went with a different company. We called Amerigas to come pick up their tank and they never did. It took them 4 years of us telling them we got rid of it before they finally came and got it. I don’t even know where to begin, Horrible customer service, inability to deliver product WHEN the say. I have been out of propane since June 28th, 2023 I haven’t been able to cook since. I have been informed by the Amerigas customer service that they do not give a specific date on when your delivery may come. Even though on both their website and automated phone systems said my propane would be delivered by July 5th and it’s now the 7th. Who is allowing this company to stay open?! Whoever runs this or owns this company should be embarrassed- never seen such low reviews and so many of them. The customer service is literally the most uninformed robotic department I’ve ever spoken to. They have NO idea what is going on, are so unenthusiastic it’s comical.
