This has so far been the worst customer service interaction(s) I have incur with the exception of a couple of helpful people who gave me some insight on what steps to take. The previous owner passed away in 2021. I called the company to find out if the tank was owned or leased. I was told owned. When the new owners move in I find out the tank was leased. Hello, not happy AmeriGas is double the price . I have under ground tank 27 years old. They wont sell the tank . Keep on voiding! me when I try to get a answer. This company should be ashamed of themselves for their poor business practices. Since trying to setup service to ending my service I have run into nothing but trouble. They tell you that they will be there at a certain time to start up your service you arrange to be there and they don’t show up. AmeriGas has extremely unfair business practices. Their billing cycles vary from 14-45 days. The company often "estimates" the usage. Then when they rectify the usage, the customer gets a "balloon" charge. The bills are difficult to discern between "Invoice Amount Due" and "Account Balance Due." Customer Service or Customer Advocacy Specialist is extremely poor. I was left on hold for 2 hours, tried 3 more times, put on hold and then gave up. This company overcharged me for services. When I called to complain they said they will refund me for the money they overcharged me. But I’m still waiting to get my money back. I have called several times and I have to explain over and over my situation. Every time ai call I get a different agent and so a different response. They always said I will get my refund in 7 days but it’s been almost 6 months and they still have my money.
Amerigas took over our account from Northern Propane and we used to receive a delivery once a year before April of each year at our weekend home at **** **** ***** ****** ******* ****** ** *****. This year, however, no delivery was made, only an invoice in February for tank rental, We visited our home during the weekend of July 8th and 9th and found that we have no gas at the kitchen stove and no hot water. Total NIGHTMARE. In May we were totally out of gas, they could not schedule a refill. I paid to get their tank removed. They FALSIFIED my account by adding charges saying I purchased the tank. Told Amerigas to get their tank sitting on my front lawn. Over two months later - and over 50 phone calls and 20 emails. It is still there. An eyesore and I cannot mow my yard. I don’t think they deserve one star!! All this company cares about is making money!! Not their customers!! There always come up with something new. Oh Dear customer your system needs a new part or a field supervisor need to have a look at things. But it’s just another reason to charge you!! Charge you!! Charge you!!
AmeriGas billed me twice to install a propane tank. I spent months trying to get the charge corrected and even though several AmeriGas employees said they could see the problem, none of them could resolve it. They repeatedly charged me ‘late fees’, even though I had already paid all the correct charges. To stop the harassment, I just paid them off and now buy propane from another company.
