They charge a fee for everything. Fees for dispatching a truck, a call in fee, pick up fee and customer service is a joke. You can no longer call your local office and talk to someone, all customer service is centralized at call centers where English is obviously a second language for most operators. So be prepared to overpay and wait on hold for hours to talk to someone you cant understand.

STAY AWAY from AMERIGAS !!!! Their customer service is horrible. I rented a ********** tank from the company and the first tank that was sent had a leaky valve and gauge. I called Amerigas and someone came out and told me to use the rest of the gas and so he could repair the valve. When I used the remaining, they came out repaired the valve refilled the tank. I noticed I could still smell propane and he said its probably lingering becuase he was working on the valve. After a couple days I went back out and could smell gas. I... read more

AmeriGas is the worst! Although there pricing is decent, there service is horrible! You get what you pay for. First of all there **************** oversees is a complete nightmare! You can't get clear answers and nothing resolved. Prior to getting propane delivered I have to pay upfront. I paid my delivery the nthe propane was delivered late as usual and then several weeks later I am told I have a balance due for the same exact amount of $344.96 which I already paid for the recent delivery. Still sending me bills and ******* a credit union after me... The are still trying to bill me for storing their tank for over 2 years. I left a review and finally did get them to pick up the tank that I had left messages and spoke to them with no results. They called me and said they would take care of the ***** **** but that did not happen... I will see if this one gets any results.

I have been a customer of ********************** for ** years, the company was originally *********** and was bought out by Amerigas. *********** was a good company. I am not sure why we stayed with them so long it just was easier than looking for a tank. But we probably paid for that tank several times over in the amount of tank rental we paid. Recently, we had Amerigas Propane come pick up their propane tank because 1) we werent using the fireplace anymore because it was too expensive and 2)every time I ordered gas it took them 2-3 weeks to get it to us. I didnt want to be charged over and over for a tank rental that we werent using so I asked for them to come get it. Apparently they charged us a fee to come get it and I was aware of that. If I could give zero stars I would. After they sold the company it has been impossible to speak with local service from dispatch. They manage this from ************, ABSURD that a local UTILITY SERVICE Company has no way to contact local dispatch. ********************* only repeats like a parrot what some local dispatcher puts in the system. We have been trying to get our tanks filled for 3 years. (Call multiple times each fall) They never come to refill them so we asked them to remove their tanks. Now they are charging us a $300 fee for ending service with them. We never agreed to any of these changes to their terms and conditions.
