We have had residential propane with them for a fireplace for approximately five years. We just recently found out that we are paying $4.99 a gallon And our neighbor who has the exact same company is only paying $2.59 a gallon. When I called to inquire, I was told that that was the best rate I could get and basically if I didnt like that rate that I could switch companies, I would not recommend this company. I called several other companies around us and they were all at least half of their price.

Unbelievable greed! I was a customer for 24 years. I always knew I was paying a little bit more for their gas, but since I was established, I let "a little" ride. When I found I was paying them $3.79 per gallon of propane, when a competitor was charging $2.15 per gallon I had to make the switch. To make things worse, hidden in their fine print , I had to pay $199 for them to come pick up their tanks that I had paid rental charges for on for 24 years.- ************************* PA

I have had Amerigas Propane when they bought out our local gas company in *********, *******(****** Gas Company) I have kept them for 7 years and have always rented their tank. I have always paid in full when I got gas or got a bill for rental. I got discouraged when I had to go through the computer for all of my business and decided to change to a closer gas company. AmeriGas has no clue what they are doing! If I could give Zero stars, I would. How can you estimate 6 months of usage then send an outrageous bill. Ridiculous!

If I could give a negative 100 for a review of Amerigas I would. They installed our propane tank, ran all of the plumbing for it and connected it to 5 appliances 2 1/2 years ago. My on line account was working at first but then, after 3 deliveries, showed I was a new customer and wouldn't let me access anything but my previously paid bills. I have called no less that 10 times and have spoken to more incompetent people than I ever have in my life. I have been given so many stories as to why my account is a mess. The worst customer service I have ever experienced. They charged me $35 late fee when I have had a automatic credit card payment! Have had it processed for over eight years, now one person says the bank declined the payment, another said I turned off the auto payment on their website. Both BS. Switching to Suburban even if it cost me over $200 to switch!!

I was under contract with a propane company. Amerigas bought them out and after a few months of bad service I started propane service with another company. I called month after month to ask Amergas to pick up the tank. They left their disconnected tank in my yard for over 5 years. I reached out to them during their slow season and asked them to pick up the tank. They subsequently billed me for $389 for closing the account and pick up fee. If zero stars was an option, I would give Amerigas zero stars. We purchased a cabin in ******** in 2020 and ordered propane from Amerigas because there was an Amerigas sticker on the tank and we were unfamiliar with local propane dealers. They filled the tank one time since we bought the cabin (we use very little propane) but we started receiving bills annually for $105. I called them and asked what we were being billed for. Miserable experience - We haven't used Amerigas for over a year. After numerous phone calls, emails, photographs and documentation they continue to harass us for money we do not owe. We paid in full and tried to close our account a year ago. They picked up our tank with gas in it and never refunded the gas. They did not close our account and continue to charge us for service we do not receive. I am ready to hire a lawyer. I was in tears this morning on the phone.
