Very friendly staff and courteous service! Personally, I would love to be able to go inside with my dog and see what was actually done. Due to Covid, I can understand why they had to meet their clients in the parking lot and take the animals in without their owners. Overall, they were great with my baby pup Goku. I was able to schedule an appointment and take him in the following day granted most places weren't taking any new clients. Their response time is excellent and and they also have a puppy package to help you get... read more

Business response:

Hi Thea, We are so happy to see your pleasant experience with us. Granted with COVID we are very blessed to have our clients understand the current protocols/measures in place. However do know once we open back up with the pandemic behind us we will welcome you with warmth through our lobby and exam rooms. We are so excited to be apart of Goku's veterinary needs. Have a wonderful day. Kindly, Merlinda Yu Senior Manager ACH of Walnut Creek

My cat started having difficulty swallowing on a weekend. I called around to 4 different vets, they were all booked up for at least a week and the wait at the emergency vet was 6+ hours. But ACH of Walnut Creek got Keet in the same day, took amazing care of her and removed a sewing needle that she had swallowed. And it cost me way less than I was expecting. Amazing care, very friendly and helpful, and the doctor was very kind and explained all my options thoroughly. Can't say enough good things about my experience.

Business response:

Hi April, Thank you so much for your kind praise. We will definitely relay this to our entire team. We are so glad Keet got the care he needed right away. We will see you guys in the future for preventative care :) Kindly, Merlinda Yu Senior Manager ACH of Walnut Creek

I used to really like this place but today that fell apart. I was running late for an appointment, called and was told to still come in. We came in. We waited about five minutes and then the office staff person said "Oh, you haven't been checked in yet?". I said "not yet", then they made us wait again and were then told they couldn't see us today, and that they would need another $70 deposit to make a future appointment, after which I walked out of their office. It's not that they were rude. It's just that I feel like they ... read more

Business response:

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are disappointed to hear that this was your impression of your visit. After reviewing the circumstances, our records show that you arrived approximately 30 minutes after your scheduled appointment time. Prior to your arrival, a member of our team contacted you to check on your status. Upon your arrival, our receptionist also spoke directly with the doctor to see if your pet could still be accommodated. Unfortunately, by that time the doctor had already begun the next ... read more

I have been going here for several years and only once did I not wait for an hour. The vet I liked is no longer there. More than that, I hae twice asked for things to be mailed. Today my dog is having problems I saw them for three days ago and they can't get me in for five more. I made an appt for today elsewhere and after two phone calls, three hours apart, they failed to send his records. I am more than frustrated. Off to the appt now, recordless.

Every time bring my dog for vaccinations they want to do multiple injections and over multiple visits scheduled close together. My dog has no allergies, or negative reactions to vaccinations, and last visit they wanted to do Benadryl injection prior to the vaccine. When I asked for the vaccinations they recommended all same visit it was a long story, lecture why they advise against it, etc. Best I can tell is that it is solely to increase quantity of visits and revenues. Never had any of my veterinarians for dogs, cat, lives... read more

Business response:

Hi BG, We take feedback seriously, but we also need to clarify several statements in your review that are not accurate. Spacing vaccinations is a standard veterinary practice, especially in younger dogs, and is based on immunology and patient safety, not revenue. Our recommendations were consistent with your pet’s documented medical history and with accepted veterinary guidelines, including prior concerns noted regarding vaccine tolerance. Our front desk staff do not act as “gatekeepers.” As in any human or veterinary med... read more

Came here first time. Brought by cat that was throwing up. They made their recommendations for lab work, IVF, plain canned food, nausea medication, about 650 dollars somewhere around there. The next day cat was not eating the food at all and I wanted guidance for the special food they sold me and told me she had to eat for next 4 days. I called twice and left voicemail no one called me back. First time there, I spent a good amount of money, tooo all their recommendations and I need a phone call back. I'm very disappointed in... read more

Business response:

Hi Hannah, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We’re truly sorry to hear about your cat’s health and want to first and foremost say we hope she’s feeling better by now. We also sincerely apologize for any frustration you experienced trying to get in touch with us. This past week, due to the Memorial Day holiday and a surge in sick pets, our team was a bit overwhelmed, and unfortunately response times, especially for voicemails, were slower than usual. That’s never our standard, and we understand how imp... read more

This review has taken me a very long time to finally write. I hate writing negative things, but I do think there is something to be learned from my experience. My typically very healthy 6 year old German Shepherd was vomiting which progressed into stool that was completely liquid with blood. I worked at in animal rescue for five years and knew that he had to be taken to the emergency vet. We had just moved to the area so I looked up e vets and Animal Care Hospital of Walnut Creek came up. Unfortunately, they're not 24/7 but ... read more

Business response:

Jennie, we’re truly sorry to hear about your loss. Losing a beloved pet is incredibly painful, and we extend our heartfelt condolences. During your visit, we worked to manage your dog’s condition with fluids and medication, and it’s clear how much he meant to you. We understand how difficult this must be for you during such a heartbreaking time. Please know that we genuinely care about our patients and their families, and your feedback is important to us. We would appreciate the opportunity to speak with you directly—please ... read more

Stopped coming here. Requested written prescriptions to purchase at Costco for cheaper. Every time they made a mistake and was looked down by staff. Unskilled and no customer service skills from front reception. Check your receipt before you walk out as they are likely to overcharge for services not rendered.

Came here as new patients. We were contacted twice - first time without even leaving a message - asking if we could push up our appointment, to which we agreed. We arrived even before our new appointment time, as patients normally should. We ended up waiting over 50 minutes to finally be seen by our vet, who didn't even catch our kitty's umbilical hernia, and only acknowledged its presence after we brought it up. Staff cited medical emergencies, but it didn't sound like people were moving with a purpose, with a casual to... read more

Business response:

Hello Chinito, I want to first off apologize for the miscommunication regarding called to come in earlier ; we are a general practice but with the exception of urgent care/emergency cases. I believe at the time the doctor had an emergency they needed to tend to however I apologize our staff hadn't updated you during the wait time. We hope that you'd give our practice a second chance. If you would like to speak to management more about this concern please feel free to reach out to me and I'd be more than happy to discuss. Ki... read more
