I was really impressed with this animal hospital. It was very clean, the staff were all very professional and caring, and Dr. Thomazin was so good with my geriatric siamese. Given the amount of testing that needs to be done for a feline geriatric profile, I used to pay over $350; at this location, it was under $270, which is very helpful. The ONLY reason I gave it four stars instead of five is due to the small waiting area, which can get crowded, and the inability to make appointments during primary work hours. Other tha... read more
They have been amazing just amazing we have taken our dogs there for years. through sickness and health they have been there %110 percent. There very very caring and understanding. They know what there doing. Also we have taken all of our foster dogs there that they have been great with all of them. My dog is going through chemo right now and they have been great. I trust them with any animal I bring in. I just have to say thank you for all you have done.
We've been using this great facility for the last 7 or 8 years for our little Toy Poodle, Nikki. We've been very, very pleased with their service - from the reception room to the skilled and experienced vets on duty. I've never seen unsanitary conditions in the waiting room or examination rooms. Their professional services are quick, knowledgeable and informative. I'd recommend them to anyone wanting good pet care.
I was very happy with the level of care that I received at this hosptal. Just an interesting note- see the review on this hospital from Jennifer B. on www.insiderpages.com. (quite a different story)
This clinic is a teaching hospital. This is the first stop for a lot of graduating Veterinarians, so clinical/bedside skills are being sharpened. Turnover is pretty high, because the pay is low, but for vet's its an important first stop. They have been taking care of 5 cats, and 4 dogs if mine for 20 years now in various stages of life. If its crowded, its because of a very friendly walk in policy all week long. And yes they are busy. They are very reasonably priced. Their clinical accumen saved my Basset Hound's lif... read more
I needed to neuter my dog. I looked for a low cost veteranarian service in Issaquah, Renton, Bellevue and Seattle. Low cost? I think not. The pricing ranged between $160 and $225 for my dog. Upon further questioning, I discovered there would be additional charges for blood work, IV's, pain meds, etc. The total cost could have reached $300 for the dog neuter... I finally found Animal Hospital of Newport Hills. The cost was $109. I asked about the add on fees - there were none. I specifically asked again, what about blood wor... read more
I have two golden retrievers, ages 3 and 8. I have been to one other vet and have moved both dogs to Newport HIlls Animal Hospital because of the way the dogs were treated at their previous vet. While Newport Hills is small, cramped and the reception staff are swamped; so far the techs and docs treat my dogs very well. I like the extended hours; the walk-in ability between 8:30am and 5pm and the fact that I do need an appointment for appointments after 5pm. While no one is perfect, so far these guys/gals have my vote.
I could not agree less with Shoko's review. The staff and specialy the vets are very good. We have been taking our animals, two cats and two dogs there for over 20 years. We have tried many other vets in the greater sound area and none even come close to the quality you recieve at Newport Hills. At one point three other Vets said we would have to put down our 13 year old Dalmation. Once giving in and driving the hour to Newport, which we knewn we should have done from the start, they gave him a simple shot and 6 months later... read more
I took my pets twice to this place. Didn't really like the place. It's small and so the waiting area often gets overcrowded. The facility is also not as clean as other vet clinics I've seen. Also, the service is not as good. It seems to be a bit cheaper too, though. One vet we saw was really nice, but the other time, another vet was really not friendly. The receptionist is also not too responsive.. Until 5pm or so, they only have walk-ins.
