Dr Hanneken corrected my “wavy vision” from unreadable to 20/20!She is highly skilled, knowledgeable, and clearly communicative; she understands her patient’s needs. Obviously a very caring person, it has been a pleasure to be one of her patients and l am SO THANKFUL that she has been able to correct my retina problem!

Great experience visiting Retina Consultants San Diego. Dr. Hanneken and the staff were all very friendly and knowledgeable. I was somewhat nervous about the diagnosis and treatment but the staff, technicians and everyone were all very good. And Dr. Henneken was terrific!

I have been a patient of Dr. Hanneken for several years. I have received outstanding care for an eye infection after cataract surgery. Dr. Hanneken did everything possible to attempt to save my eyesight. Unfortunately, I did end up losing sight in the infected eye. However, the care I received was outstanding. I have continued to have her monitor the vision in my other eye as I trust her completely.
Patient came in with an unknown a scary case of having overnight lost reading ability. Dr did an extensive eye examination and reviewed discrete eye measurements and advised the issue was not due to retinal or an eye internal cause. She prescribed dry eye drops and to follow up with glaucoma specialists. I was very pleased to find out that a scary finding the eye was not injured or internally damaged.! Dr Hanneken has a very reassuring demeanor, which gives one confidence in her analysis and recommendations. The professionalism of this practice is also supported by her very good prep staff.
I have been seeing Dr. Hannekin for the last 6 years, originally for a bleed in my eye and now for 6 months check ups. She is kind, very professional, and thoroughly explains everything she’s doing. She is the best!!!
