Lovely office, staff very helpful and pleasant and competent. Dr. Hanneken is a wonderful and caring surgeon. Provides the best care pre-op and post-op.

I had a follow-up appointment with Dr. Hanneken after a vitrectomy several years ago to repair a detached retina. She does a very thorough look at both eyes and her office has the latest equipment to ensure she has all the eye imagery needed to aid her visual look at her patient's eyes. I feel fortunate to have had her as my surgeon as it is not unusual to have follow on eye issues after a retinal detachment.
Everyone in the La Jolla office is very competent, kind and efficient. There are many steps to a thorough exam and this place runs like a well oiled machine, except they have human warmth! I was very grateful to be seen the same day to rule out anything serious.

Dr H, took my call on a weekend after I was experiencing flashes andFloaters. She assured me about my situation and got me into her rotation first thing on Monday. Complete tests and scans were done and I felt very appreciative of her manor and care. I knew I was in the right place. Definitely recommend.
Every person on the staff is outstanding. They are kind personable and very efficient, obviously are well trained in their field.Dr Hanneken is amazing! Kind ,caring and brilliant ! She completely puts you at ease.
Everyone on the staff was so friendly and seemed concerned about the patients. And, Dr Hanneken was warm and reassuring about my eye condition. She really cares and gave me hope for the future.
