Dr. Hanneken is thorough and professional. While the time required for a complete annual exam is rather long, knowing that I am being followed with the latest of equipment and an experienced team is comforting.
Dr Hanneken made room for my husband to be seen today. She examined his eyes and did tests as my husband had sudden vision loss and was very scared. Finding an ocular stroke she presented a positive view and broke the bad news that this vision loss was permanent but that he was lucky he didn’t lose all of his vision and he will adapt. It was a shock but her caring and presentation helped make him feel more comfortable.
The office staff are very good at explaining the process of the testing and that process is very efficient. Then Dr Hanneken explains the results in a way that is very understandable and shows you the results of the tests while explaining those results in an understandable way. Welcomes questions and thorough at answering them.
I have been to Dr.Hanneken for 5 years just after Covid epidemic. She is very knowledgeable. When I had a problem 5 years ago, even though it could have been a serious situation, her voice was comforting. Gradually my problem was better and now normal, thanks to her excellent treatment. Her Ocular Technicians and office staff are very courteous and efficient . I am sure her knowledge and dealing with personnel in a private office, is a successful practice.
Dr. Hanneken is that exquisite specialist that one never expects to be able to find. She has worked with me for several years. I was first referred to her for macular degeneration and in several sessions it was healed. I have been working with her since to maintain my vision. She is personable and so knowledgeable. She is doing research in the field and is always aware of the latest information. It is a delight to have her as my physician.

Dr. Hanneken is very thorough in her patient evaluation and explains problems and treatment options clearly and professionally. It is refreshing to have a doctor who speaks with the patient not at them.
She had read my chart. She took time to listen to my concerns and she addressed them. She has an empathetic manner.
Dr. Hanneken is very thorough and knowledgeable. I appreciate that she offered a conservative as well as a more aggressive approach to resolving my problem and was accepting of my choice. It was a very reassuring and educational visit.
