So Monday, I received a solicitation knock on my door, offering free roof inspection. I thought, sure, why not? So they come over, do the inspection, and of course find damage. They go into the whole thing, about how the insurance company handles it, it only costs your deductible, and I wasnt sure. I didnt know my deductible, and didnt want to proceed until i had checked my policy. Couple of sales guys from Apex came to my home, I asked them to come back after 6pm and we could talk then as I was working. At 5:30 I notice a car parked by my neighbors and shortly after I hear noise on my roof. I walk outside and there is a guy on my roof. He informs me he was there for a roofing inspection. I immediately demand he come down that I did not authorize this. We needed a new roof as we had experienced some damage from hurricane Irma, we had missing shingles and our roof was 20 years old. We contacted Apex about 10 months after Irma. Apex salesperson indicated they would submit all insurance claims, they offered efficient yet experienced and professional roofing solutions. APEX Leave us ALONE ! One of your salesman told us we had roof damage from a recent storm - we followed what your company instructed to do. You contacted my insurance company and put a claim in. When our insurance company came out to inspect our roof, along with one of YOUR employees. They found no damage at all, not from wind, not from hail, not from anything. Apex Rep knocked on my door and solicited me to do a "free roof inspection" that could lead to me getting a free roof from my insurance co. I told him there is NO SOLICITATION in my neighborhood and its posted at the entrance. He wanted to argue. I told him to leave my property and my neighborhood. I signed up with Apex Roofing and then the next day I decided to cancel. I then contacted my field manager to cancel. He did NOTHING. I then got a text from someone else at Apex and told her I wanted to cancel. She told me she would send me an email. She did NOTHING. Then I called her back and told her again that I wanted to cancel. Again, she did NOTHING. I knew I only had 14 days to cancel. Customer service is horrible. Lack of communication right after they knocked on our door.
Shady business practices. After completing roof. A year later asking for money in regards to rotting wood. Representative were highly unprofessional. Knew the person who signed the contract can not read or write in English. And did nothing to explain the details. Just sign here and here. Now threatening to place a lien on property after everything was paid in full. Stay away from this business they are not upfront with their cost.
Very bad experience. This company will help sue your insurance company. Take the money, sub-contract some of the work. In my case they contracted a gutter company with sub-standard work performance. Now, my gutter leaks and Apex feels since it was not there company that did the work they are not responsible and the gutter company they hired just blames Apex saying the roof was poorly installed.
