Dr Petranu talks to me as a parent and asks questions to my child. He takes his time to explain what his recommendations would be, he is great with my kids. The staff are friendly and the nurse that works with Dr. Petranu is great too. He engages with my kids in a fun way.
They have been my son's pediatrician for almost 11 years. Dr. Petranu and Dr. Siegel have such great rapport with my son. Since my son is a teenager, I love the fact that they let him do the talking first to encourage independence. If there is an emergency, they will get you in very quickly. The staff is excellent. I have been taking my 18 mo. old son to this practice ever since he was born and I am very pleased with them. They offer two locations with numerous doctors for ultimate convenience. I have been to both locations but prefer their main office which is closest to my house. Both offices however are extremely clean and inviting. Their staff is diligent, scheduling is effortless (either by phone or your online patient portal) and they are exceptionally punctual with appointments. I picked up my little one yesterday from school only to realize that one of her eyes or pink. I was getting concerned that it could possibly be pinkeye or possibly allergies. I called the location by my house however they were booked for the day. They did get me an appointment at the Mountain View location which I appreciated because I didn't want to send my daughter to school if she did in fact have pinkeye. I have to say that the doctors here are really great. We had Dr. Barcellona as my son's doctor since birth (he is only 6 months now) but had a great experience. He answers medical questions through their online portal, which I love! Dr. Caplan is equally great. She does the same..answers all my questions and calls me back directly. Our family loves North Scottsdale Pediatrics! We primarily see Dr. Gerlach and couldn't be happier with her. She's very knowledgeable, patient with my 100 new mom questions and she's full of great advice! What I love most about this practice is they can always get me in for a quick appointment if needed with whichever doctor is available and they always have a doctor on call to answer any questions I might have during non business hours (I've used this service too many times to count). So let me start by saying I simply LOVE the providers in this practice and am totally confident in them. My complaint is that they have obviously accepted waaaaay too many patients as it is impossible to get a well-child appointment. I just called to make a yearly appointment for my son who turns 4 in mid December with Dr Barcelona, I was told he was booked out through February!
