Steaks are ok, but not as good as other steakhouses. The menu is extremely expensive and you’ll find that Chops or Hal’s is a much better experience for a cheaper price.
Great food. Good service. I won't be back for NYE. I should probably have low expectations for big holidays, but they packed us into a room meant for a private party that was disconnected from the rest of the restaurant, and it was awkward. It was right in front of the entrance. We would've enjoyed dinner more upstairs.
Worst service I’ve ever experienced. Waiter never came to check on our meal, side dishes were awful, steak was at least tasty.
Have been to Haven many times so wanted to try this. Servers are great and food is wonderful. Hostess has an attitude. Two visits. Both times she is in “command and control” of the seating and makes you feel like she is doing you a favor by honoring your reservation. Yes, we were on time. Definitely detracts from the experience. She’s not very nice to her colleagues either, so on a good note, we guessed it was nothing personal.
Nothing special. For the price, you are better off at Bones or Chops. Food and service just ok. Our evening was disturbed by a very large group of 15 which was very loud. A real distraction. They should have been seated in the restaurant’s private room. Our side order of hash browns was served raw and cold. A new order was brought after we were almost finished eating. No one offered to make it complimentary..And they charge $4 for bread. Just another neighborhood restaurant
I really wanted to like this place. It was a really cool design and the upstairs bar was great--so much so that it didn't really bother us too much that we weren't seated until 8:15 for a 7:30 reservation. But once we sat down, the food was a total failure from start to finish. We had the wedge salad, and the lettuce was not dried to the point where it made the whole thing a watery mess. I would have rated 5 stars in all categories, except the noise level makes it difficult for private conversation. Even with the new side acoustic panels the noise bounces of the metal ceiling.
We so wanted to like this place out of pride in being Brookhaven residents....unfortunately, that wasn't the case...first, to give credit where it's due, the service was very good...aside from that, the dishes we ordered (steaks) arrived looking so forlorn on their plates w/no adornment--the wedge salad was covered w/a watery, tasteless concoction; side dishes of corn and roasted brussels sprouts were blah; we took a chance on dessert we brought wine & had it corked f/$25) All in all I'd rate this place a "meh"...
Over-priced with small portions. Ambiance was great!
