We love the ambiance and the menu options and the food. Typically we get good service but that evening the waiter was not at all attentive and we had to wait on him way too long between stops at our table. I am sure he will not last long there. The owner expects more.
Food is very disappointing with exception of Onion Rings
Not impressed. Pricey for the quality of food. Ordered a dry aged KC Strip steak medium. It came out Rare and they had to take it back and cook it longer. My thought is when you pay $68 for a steak if it isn’t cooked right you should fire up a new steak and get it right, don’t bring back the same steak. Ambience was nice. Probably would go back to have drinks at the bar, but definitely not go back for a nice steak dinner. Too many other options.
If this was my first time to Arnette's I would not go back. The service was awful, I wish I would have said something to management that evening. Everything we asked for we had to request 2 or 3 times. I asked about a dish, did not like the sound of it and said that I did not want it. Food overcooked and tasteless and second meal well undercooked. Clorox smell emanating from kitchen. Very attentive. Ok service but meal was a disaster.
Food was way more salty than usual. Chef had a heavy hand. Normally it’s excellent.
I have been there before and generally been happy. I requested a specific table, which they indicated was reserved for a party of eight rather than usable for the four of us. The entire evening (from 630 - 1000) there were only three or four tables in the dining room occupied and the table they said that was unavailable to me never had anyone sit at it. Funny result for a restaurant that was virtually empty on a Sunday night. It would seem they would make every effort to be accommodating rather than disenfranchising.
First, I must say that while our experience with regard to food and service was disappointing, the response from the management, and in particular, Michael Arnette, the owner, was beyond outstanding. Michael was gracious and exceptionally generous in his offer to make things right for us. That said, in all candor, the server was disinterested, and the service was choppy. Disappointing. Very expensive and food was bland at best. Steaks were average, sides were nondescript, and ambiance was very casual. For the price ($450 for 3), please head to Kevin Rathbun Steak or Bones for much better food and service. We had also informed at the time of our reservation and the day of that it was a special birthday occasion and had even picked out a dessert but there was no mention of it and we left without even wanting dessert. We will not be back.
