This company is garbage. When a repair is requested they waste your time by assigning it to contractors that do not service your brand, not cover your area or do not work with ARW. You eventually give up and get it repaired outside of the warranty. This is the worst warranty company I have ever dealt with.

I filed a claim for repair of a over the.range microwave in on May 4,2021 was not resolved until June 29,2021. It could not be fixed so they gave me a buy out for 126.00 dollars , but I could not reach them by phone had to hold on for hours at a time listening to recordings. Contractor waited for 1 month on parts. The Contractor waited 1 month on parts and could not get them. The positive reviews have to be fake. This company is the worst. Like other reviewers have said, they are quick to take your money but once you need a repair, it is a totally different story. The voice prompts take you through a series of questions, after pressing 1 here and 2 there it finally takes you to where you are supposed to hold for the next available agent. This is a two star review. American Residential Warranty has horrible customer service, and you frequently find yourself on hold for two hours or more waiting for someone to pick up. The times they sent people out to our house have been about half and half with regard to success. The first couple of times, service providers were calling me to collect the remainder of the amount that American Residential Warranty was supposed to pay. They were quick to send a tech to check the AC but took 9 days to tell us that what they told us we had bought for coverage we actually did not have. We spent 9 days in Florida with the lowest temperature at 87 and the highest at 91, it is worth mentioning that we have two little ones. Called several times and most of the time waited for an average of two hours before they hung up on us. I would not recommend. This company lacks professionalism, they saved my debit card information without authorization and drafted my account without sending me a invoice via email or by mail. I logged onto the customer portal and was unable to remove my debit card information. I contacted them on a Saturday and spoke with ***** and was told that no managers work on the weekends companywide and that I would have to call back on Monday. This company is a ***** warranty company. They fail to notify the customer that you have to pay the service fee upfront is the first compliant. The second complaint is after taking off a day of work for a repair company to come out and what we thought was to repair our broken toilet found out that he was just here to look at the toilet and now have to submit the request for approval. What the HECK! He had all the parts on the truck so why could he not just fix the toilet or call the company to get the approval on the spot. N... read more

This is the worst company I have ever dealt with I have been on the phone since twelve today July 14, 2021 I have called 12 times and have been put on hold four times for over a hour in a half trying to resolve a situation I have asked for the manger each time and every time they transfer me no one come to the phone I'm on hold for a long time I don't understand they can take your money but not come and fix what you need to fix

Placed claim for dishwasher. Repair technician came out right away but follow up for part took forever. When I inquired the local service provider they said AIG had not got back to them for approval. I called ARW and after a frustrating runaround of over 30 min on phone I finally got someone who could approve the part/repair. Dishwasher then needed a second part and the process repeated.
