I have never encountered such rude and disrespectful staff and management in my life. I would never bring a loved one here. Truly the most rude staff who would yell at the elderly. Please DO NOT send your family here if you want them to be taken care of.

I would put no star if possible.My love one went in to recover from heart surgery.After two weeks and five days we call it quits.We took our brother home with diarrhea issues going on eight days and a foley catheter with blood .Not to mention pain levels high.It still was the better choice then leaving him in this place.He was given a shower twice in 19 day stay. This place has a bad reputation, and now I know why! My father was here for 36 hours and in that time had a botched catheter procedure which gave him a sepsis infection and landed him back in the hospital. When I went to his room at Aviara,he was laying on sheets that had drops of blood and feces on them. None of the people that worked there seemed to have any clue what was going on. In only one day, they lost his clothes too! If you have any other choice for a skilled nursing facility, take it!

My great aunt was a patient at Aviara due to her having her right hip done. What can i say about this place. We did not have a wonderful experience. Management at this place is horrendous. The DON Cristina is very unprofessional and petty. I've seen her first hand talk to her nurses in a very unprofessional way, when all the nurse was trying to do was help. Please do not send any of your love ones to this facility if they need more than causal care and especially if they need to be there on a weekend. My husband was recovering from a very serious surgery and was virtually ignored by staff on a Saturday night until it became so bad he had to be taken back to the hospital. We had told people for several hours that he was not feeling well or looked good. Their answer was his vitals were fine. I wanted to tour the place but the woman I spoke to on the phone was incredibly rude and not helpful. If that's how their staff acts on the phone, I can only imagine how they treat their patients :( My original post was "removed" since it wasn't a "first hand" review, however, I disagree completely because in my experience, phone calls about a service is usually the first impression and customer service begins there. This is a crappy facility I was here for just a few hours and experience crappy service from the staff. My family member was one of their residents and she had passed away the staff was ready to ship us out quickly asking us to pack her stuff up and offering us "trash bags" I couldn't believe how unprofessional the staff was for my love ones belongings instead of being a little sympathetic. I have never been to a facility that has been rude to my family before and that is why I gave them a one star.

Rudest staff EVER. Our grandpa was here we moved him because this place was so bad. My grandpa is 92 he was throwing up and i ran out to tell the nurse and she looked at me and said "what do you want me to do about it"? Are u kidding me?! Our family felt like we had to stay and take care of him because the nurses didn't do anything! Everytime we would ask a question they were so rude. So happy to get him out of here. We could not move him fast enough. Do NOT take your loved ones here.
