We loved this place - great atmosphere, staff, background music and choice of drinks and cocktails. Tried bar snacks one night and a full meal the other. Food was good apart from fish batter was on the burnt side so that was a bit disappointing. Even so, would definitely go back when next in Edinburgh.
Cocktails, charcuterie board, and service were all great. I ordered a steak medium rare and it was so overdone I couldn’t event cut one half of it that was completely charred and black. It seemed like a mistake that they would even bring it to the table looking like that.
Just wanted to say we had such a great dinner here tonight! Food was well priced and so tasty and the wait staff were so sweet accommodating and funny!
Food was interesting but not spectacular. Our reservation was at 8pm, we were seated on time and ordered at 8.15pm. But our appetisers only arrived at 8.50pm. And our main came at 9.30pm. Looking around, a lot of tables were also waiting for food. Service isn't bad, but OMG the kitchen is really slow. Drinks were nice though.

We always love the food at Badger & Co. We first tried this place because of The Wind in the Willows connection, but now we come back for the food. The meat pies are amazing.
The setting in the restaurant is lovely, with really comfortable and plush seating and interesting decor. We were spoilt for choice with the gin menu and the waitress was well informed to make recommendations. We all went for the roast since it was Sunday lunchtime. The roast set menu also included a pudding and was excellent value at under £16.00. Service was poor- the server we had earlier in the meal disappeared then when we went to pay the bill we were told rudely by him to go to the bar, the server behind the bar was eating when we went to settle the bill. The toast was burnt on my main as well.
