I highly recommend Ballpark Storage, and give an A+++ to it's friendly staff. One customer service rep in particular, Joey, has been extremely helpful & accommodating from day 1. When I ran into an unexpected last minute hiccup, and needed an extra hand, Joey went above and beyond to help me. Not only did he quickly find an additional storage space, but he even helped me unload some items to speed up the process.
Super friendly staff! They've been helping me the past two weeks with all my moving needs. Good prices for the moving supplies and conveniently located in the heart of gaslamp :)
Great experience with Ballpark Storage in downtown San Diego. During my apartment renovation I stored a bike, a kayak and many boxes for several months. I had at first dropped in just to get a price quote, but Tony chatted up the selling points of the service, offered me a no pressure tour, told me of the promotion pricing, and was so persuasive that I ended up reserving a spot then. Was super easy to get a space. I walked in and toured a few options and they were able to book it right there, and had everything I needed for my move. The storage units are clean and secure. Only note is that the usable size was considerably smaller than listed in some of the units I looked at so if you have something of a certain size like I did, you'll need to double check.
Prime location and awesome place to go to for boxes or any supplies you need help with moving !! Affordable and reliable !!
This is a much better storage than Extra space storage. I highly recommend it. Air conditioning, good location, truck rental. Polite staff.

Ballpark Storage the entire place could have used a new coat of paint 25 years ago. The elevators are newer than original hand-crank types but just barely by a few days; either one or both at the same time rarely work. There is one bathroom for over a 1,000 units, usually out of order unless the HOMELESS want to do their drugs or prostitution. Floors are wood, chipped and uneven.
