Vegetarian options were great. Big portions. Flavorful food for both the vegetarian & meat eater. Bao bun was great too, fluffy and stuffed to the max. 10/10

The cucumber salad was the most delicious! The baos were good and came fast. I was looking for more traditional fillings in the baos.

Such a cute concept, merging Taiwanese BAOS + street food & modern ingredients & western flavors Whether it's the short rib, crispy buffalo chicken, Asian sticky teriyaki chicken or the beef noodle bowl, I felt the taste was bomb We ordered the flight of 3 for $15 . And there's more appetizers we didn't order too! @midwestmunching for more

I had heard such great things about Bao Nine and was super excited to try. Unfortunately, I can't say it lived up to the hype. Make sure to get the deal for three if you're looking for an actual meal. One of my baos was okay, but the other two were mid at best. I wish the baos were more authentic

Born and raised in LA, I've had my share fusion (and authentic) bao buns. I was excited to see a place around Philly that specialized in such. The buns are soft and perfect holders of their protein and toppings. However, the flavors were not on par with the quality of their buns. PS, you'll need about 3 to be full. Price wise, 4.85 per bun is a bit high, considering the ones in LA don't even cost that much. Also, I thought I'd be able to customize but all the ones I ordered without jalapenos came with jalapenos. Overall... read more

BAO BAO BAO!!!!!!!!!! Hiiiiiii Yelpers, I know you're saying, "Food Junkie J, you've never reviewed a restaurant twice." I'm replying, "You're right," but with food like theirs...you'll have to go back again! Listen, I ordered the Crispy Chicken Bowl with the Bao Boa bun and I found myself dancing with everyone watching. So, if you want to know what dance moves you'll have when the food ELECTRIC SLIDE on your tongue, go to BAO NINE----they'll take you on a party ride! And they'll teach you, teach you, teach you...they'll ... read more

Overall mid establishment. Had a weird vibe inside, felt kind of like they were aiming for a trendy store, but landed more on dystopian, empty like. If your going to get bao buns, make sure you get three to feel full. Prices are good, but food itself is probably more of a 2.5/5 stars. The fillings were good, but the ones offered that were paired with the bao felt like they didn't go together. We got the two buns pictured plus the one with short rib. Sides and dessert were a bit better than the bao buns, but not by much. Prob... read more

Met up with a friend after work, she recommended this little spot! It is adorable on the inside-- if aesthetics are your thing. We ordered the threesome so three menu items. Brussels Sprouts were soft and flavorful with little rice puffs that pleasantly surprised me! The Crispy Chick was a bit too wet with the slaw but the chicken itself was pretty yum. Lil Bao Wow was the best of the three I had, good vinegary notes that contrasted the meat and bao bun. The Bao Boa was the least fav, too rich in my opinion and the flavors ... read more
