Solid takeaway set up with a friendly staff. Restaurant was clean and food was fresh and delicious.
Food was GREAT! Buns were cooked perfectly and every bite was delicious. My favorite was the short rib. So good! Service was quick and efficient. Overall, a great experience!
I walk past this place all the time and finally decided to pop in. A nice light lunch treat mid day. I opted for the Threesome which feels like a good deal considering the variety of bites. Got The Hot Motha Clucka, The Crispy Chick, and last but not least The Bang Bang. Each one was better than the last, but you really can't go wrong here. It's a dine in or to go spot. Service was great. The buns came out fast. Again great for lunch.
What a great concept and such delicious food! Stumbled upon this place as we were in the area looking for a snack. We had the sticky chicky, bao boa, and bang bang. The baos may be small but are packed with flavor. We were pleasantly surprised. The taro chips and Brussels sprouts were addictive too. I'd definitely return!
Great fast buns. Buffalo and Bang Bang shrimp are good. Gringo chicken is a bit dry. Great lunch spot-- 3 buns for same price as a sweetgreen.
I got 2 threesomes and tried 6 baos. Angus beef, short rib, shrimp, teriyaki chicken, buffalo chicken, fried chicken. All were decent. Angus beef, like a cheeseburger was the favorite. It's a little pricey for what you get. You can't really get full on 3 baos. They should give you a better deal for getting 3. You only save 50 cent. Kinda lame. I didn't try any sides. Too expensive.
Was looking for some quick food when in Philly recently and stumbled across this place. One of the more unique foods I've had in awhile. Their bao buns are all made perfectly. Super soft and flavorful. I had the hot motha clucka, which was a buffalo chicken style one, and the prime time, which was a cheeseburger style. Both were incredible and loaded with flavor. They are slider style so not super filling, which is perfect because you will want to try more than one.
Fantastic. Lucky enough to make a larger order and feed a lot of people at one time. We tried all ten offerings that day and there was nothing left over. They made them quickly, packaged them for service and made our taste buds happy. I can't wait to try them again, as they had a few vegan options - two more than I expected, and I had to kind of fight to get them among my hungry crew. Nice work. You guys rocked.
I'm not a big fan of the Wawa style ordering screen at a restaurant. It made for a weird vibe in my opinion - like "we just want to do online orders and not interact with customers." Anyway, the baos are small - you'll need three, so get the combo. They were fine compared to others I've had over the years. Not the best actual bao buns, but the fillings were decent and creative. I would highly recommend the mango black tea - that stuff was delicious.
