Came here for a quick lunch; had diner-esque vibe. Menu was straightforward and easy to read. Staff was friendly. We rodered 4 baos and a side of taro chips. Food surprisingly took a while (~20mins) but was worth the wait. Each bao was very unique, with ingredients well thought out and delicious. Crispy chick (5/5) - I was surprised this one was my favorite since it was so simple (fried chicken), but the chicken was perfectly crispy and worked well with the soft bun Yenta (4/5) - Pastrami was cooked as well and tasted as a... read more

Ordered delivery- the baos come in the cutest packaging that makes it super easy to eat! Favorite were the Crispy Chick and Teriyaki Chicken! The falafel bao was very dry since there wasn't much sauce. The short rib bowl wasn't that good either. The Brussels sprouts were AMAZING! Definitely should get this if you're ordering from here.

My friend and I had lunch at Bao Nine. Personally, I ordered two baos (the bao boa and bang bang shrimp), taro chips, and dessert bao. We shared the taro chips as an appetizer. The chips came with two sauces, a cream based horseradish dipping sauce and a lighter sweet chili sauce. I thought that the chips tasted better without sauce but if I were to choose between the two sauces, I would recommend dipping the chips in the sweet chili sauce. The bang bang shrimp bao never disappoints (this is my 2nd time coming to bao nin... read more

The baos were good and there was a decent amount of seating, but I didn't think it was that special. It is good for a small bite but I don't think it impressed me. They have a lot of interesting menu options though with their range of combos. The Sticky Chicky was a lot better than the Bao Boa as the flavoring and texture of the teriyaki chicken in the first was good, and the crunch of the cucumber made it better. The Bao Boa fell short on the flavor, and I was disappointed in the lack of peppers and lack of texture and flav... read more

The wait is pretty long especially during busy times so it's not really fast food. The food is good and filling especially if you get more than one Bao. It's probably best to order online. There is a good amount of indoor seating with chill music and it's easily accessible.

This place is really good and conveniently located near Rittenhouse Square. They offer 9 bao options and 1 bao special. Yes, 9 bao buns as in Bao Nine. They do carry out and have a space for dine-in. The space is clean and well lit. The staff is really friendly and happy to answer questions. I got a spicy chicken bun and a pork bun as well as spicy cucumbers. So good! Note for vegetarians and vegans: the falafel shares the fryer with the fried chicken and fried shrimp. Really happy to have tried this place! Adding it to my... read more

This cozy fusion eatery in center city is inspired by Taiwanese street 割包 (gua bao) We tried their beef, chicken, and pork belly baos which were all so flavorful and juicy, but kind of on the pricier side. They also have a variety of bowls and sides. The interior and exterior of the restaurant are also very instagrammable so def check it out!!
