The staff was awful and confused. We had to wait 15 minutes for a waitress to come and get a refill. The food was generic and was outrageously priced for the mediocre taste. If you want to go somewhere you want to remember go somewhere else.
Visited Hilton head and ate at bug Jim's three times. Cold beer large portions. The grilled pizza with smoked tomatoes was awesome as well as the nachos. The baked beans are the best I have had.

I was going to complain about the fact that no one answered the phone when I called to place a take-out order--nor did they call me back within 30 minutes; or when I got there and realized there were 11 tables (only 3 filled) and 4 waitresses--all huddled together giggling at something; or when I asked for a glass of wine while I waited for my take-out order and she said "it really won't take them long" ,,,but then I got back to my condo (in the Village--a five minute walk in a now thunderstorm) and tasted my BBQ sandwich wi... read more

We went for burgers and beers. Overall everything nice. Wait staff very nice. Cold beer and the burgers were good. My wife got a side order of Mac and cheese and was good. We will go back to try the pulled pork sandwich. It looked so good.
Very boring food. This was our last resort on our first night in Hilton Head as everything else in walking distance had closed for the night and I was getting HANGRY. Pleasant staff, but definitely heavy food that wasn't worth taking back extras of.
It's hard to mess up BBQ that bad, but they were able to. We ordered the brisket and pulled pork. The meat had zero flavor. I had the cheese grits and beans on the side. They were also not very good. I ended up throwing away my meal. If you do come here, avoid the BBQ.
Great breakfast with awesome views of the golf course! We had dinner from here as well and the grilled pizzas were yummy. The Gouda Burger was tasteless but overall the food was good. Service was a bit slow considering we were the only ones in the restaurant though.
We have eaten at Big Jim's many times. The seafood is always fresh and tasty. Good selection of sides. Good place for casual dining and good food.
So at the beginning I was a little nervous to come here because I read some of the other reveiews and the rating is only 2 stars but I heard they had really good BBQ so I gave it a try. We got there and sat down the service was ok and the staff was nice. I ordered the BBQ sliders and they were fantastic. Te sauce was a bit spicy. And there were a lot of bugs because we sat outside.
