I have been there several times and it was my birthday today so I brought my sister and my best friend. The service was horrible! The waitress never came back to our table to even pick up our plates! I will not be there again ever! We had to wait to pay our bill and we could've just walked out, but we did not. We left a tip, and the waitress did not deserve a tip. Have eaten and enjoyed the Black Bear Diner in Co Springs - happened to be nearby so decided to stop here for dinner. There were only 4 other people in the entire place. Took at least 5 minutes before the waiter came for our drink order. Another 10 minutes before he came back for our food order. I've been a fan of Black Bear Diner since a little before covid hit. My first experience was at a location in Colorado Springs, and I was blown away by the friendliness, professionalism and speed of the staff. I found the quality of the food for the price amazing. I was excited when a location opened near my home in Aurora, and though I wasn't able to visit until restrictions had been lifted, I was pleased by my first few meals there (especially their breakfasts), but over time they seem in some way to be in decline. never again. biscuits uncooked almost raw. extremely watery grits, chicken fried steak over cooked and soggy. i spoke with sharon the manager, she stated biscuits are not made fresh, received from outside cmpany. i asked so black bear diner is ok with kitchen sending out half cooked and bad food and please refund. sharon stated resturant policy is no refund but restaurant credit. when i asked for credit sharon stated they just make note of items ordered and the next time i order the exact same items i ordered i get cred... read more

This place seems to often be packed, so my roommate and I decided to give it a try for dinner. The night we went in there they were not super busy, but the service was mediocre, with a very enthusiastic employee happy to recommend everything on the menu, but who simply never came back to check on us after we got our food, leaving us with empty drinks. I dont know what happened to this restaurant during Covid. I use to frequent this place often. I decided 2 weeks ago to take my wife for breakfast and we were sat down at a booth. We ordered and patiently waited for our food. My wife ordered a steak burrito smothered with green chilli and a side of grits. I ordered a ham and cheese omelette. My wife's steak inside her burrito was totally burnt along with her potatoes wedges and omelette was barely warm. Really disrespectful staff. Order was missing items. Scott in management acted like he didn't care. Never asked for order number ect. But I the food I did receive was bland. Vegetables were soggy, potatoes under cooked and no flavor. Won't give this business another chance.

We have been here a few times but it seems to have gone downhill. We had breakfast on Sunday morning, first the coffee was cold and my husband had to find staff to get us more coffee. We the food arrived my hash towns were not cooked...cold in the center. My husband's waffles was undercooked and again it was very difficult to find any waitstaff to refill out coffee. My thought is I probably won't be back.

I can not write a review on the food because the service to get in was so bad! We asked for a table for two and the server was so dismissive and rude. I asked again how long the wait would be and she said, "One moment". Mind you we were willing to sit at the bar which had plenty of seats! The server returned and sat a family behind us. Customer service should be number one and this place did not offer that. Needless to say we left and will never try this place again!
