Good, fast service. But it's really fast dining. Understand that this is a chain. Like Bob Evans. Hash browns were widely varied as to degree of doneness. A few browned and crispy, but the majority were limp and barely cooked. Corned beef hash portion was ridiculously small. Hardly any corned beef. I will say that the bacon was perfect- not limp at all. Set your expectations appropriately.

went to Black Bear to use birthday coupon but managment refused to honor coupon because our order was not included in the suggested "Black Bear" choices. Menu organization was misleading the way it was organized. Management refused to concede even though the price was the same ! They said coupon was still good until June but why bother ! Done with this place.

Walked in for an early lunch and we were not greeted. Was not busy. Waited 10 minutes for someone to come ask us "how many?" We left.

I have been there several times and it was my birthday today so I brought my sister and my best friend. The service was horrible! The waitress never came back to our table to even pick up our plates! I will not be there again ever! We had to wait to pay our bill and we could've just walked out, but we did not. We left a tip, and the waitress did not deserve a tip. Have eaten and enjoyed the Black Bear Diner in Co Springs - happened to be nearby so decided to stop here for dinner. There were only 4 other people in the entire place. Took at least 5 minutes before the waiter came for our drink order. Another 10 minutes before he came back for our food order. I've been a fan of Black Bear Diner since a little before covid hit. My first experience was at a location in Colorado Springs, and I was blown away by the friendliness, professionalism and speed of the staff. I found the quality of the food for the price amazing. I was excited when a location opened near my home in Aurora, and though I wasn't able to visit until restrictions had been lifted, I was pleased by my first few meals there (especially their breakfasts), but over time they seem in some way to be in decline. never again. biscuits uncooked almost raw. extremely watery grits, chicken fried steak over cooked and soggy. i spoke with sharon the manager, she stated biscuits are not made fresh, received from outside cmpany. i asked so black bear diner is ok with kitchen sending out half cooked and bad food and please refund. sharon stated resturant policy is no refund but restaurant credit. when i asked for credit sharon stated they just make note of items ordered and the next time i order the exact same items i ordered i get cred... read more

This place seems to often be packed, so my roommate and I decided to give it a try for dinner. The night we went in there they were not super busy, but the service was mediocre, with a very enthusiastic employee happy to recommend everything on the menu, but who simply never came back to check on us after we got our food, leaving us with empty drinks.
