I went here twice after checking the menu for gluten free breakfast. I can't eat gluten and the cross contamination isn't an issue for me-- I just can't have it. Both times I ordered two different meals and they couldn't make them because they didn't have oat milk or GF bread. No biggie but maybe don't have them on the menu if you're not going to have them available. I went here tonight and ordered their Steel Cut Oatmeal with milk, Brown Sugar and nuts, which I did not order, and 2 Slices of Sour Dough Toast. My check was $18.00 I was stunned. I will Never order that again. The container was only a Cup of Oatmeal. Way Too Over Prices.

This is my first time back to Black Bear Diner in over a year. What a huge disappointment! While the service was fine, the food was literally horrible. Maybe it's because I've been eating clean for a year. But, I ordered the pot roast and I swear it came straight out of a bag. This is our second visit in the past 30 days. Slow service and no refill for coffee, no bill. How long to have to wait to pay? $13.49 for 2 small eggs, 2 bacon and toast seems expensive. No potatoes either.

An honest assessment on the food I ordered today. I ordered the big burger, with bacon, onion rings, slice of chocolate cake and a chocolate pie. Medium rare burger was actually a rare burger, when I got home and looked at it, there were portions of the meat which were raw, uncooked I would guess maybe (if that) 100 degrees and that is being generous. My sister-in-law and I went to have your all you can eat fish fry on Friday a couple weeks ago and have to say we were very disappointed. The fish was very dry and overcooked, didn't taste like it was fresh and hand dipped, more like it was frozen and just thrown into the deep fryer, it was so disappointing. We didn't even order a second go around and to top it off we didn't even get hush puppies like we were supposed to. All in all, we will not be visiting your establishment anytime in the future.

We tried this restaurant for supper last night. Very busy and somewhat loud. Our server admitted that she was new to her job. It was evident with the lack of bringing the salads out first and then the main course later. She forgot the salad until we reminded her. The food was not what we expected. It was super slow even though we were like the only ones there, the service was not great at all and the food was the wrost it was unpleaseant not tasty unflavor, even though the place did not have any people it was not busy at all but everything went wrong, the kids menu it says a it comes with a free ice cream or bowl of fruit idk in what year because or server never went to our table for us to ask about it or even for us to order any dessert hopeing it would work but nothing.
