Visiting from Las Vegas and was excited to order for pick up while we stayed in our pajamas. My son went to pick up the order. He arrives and we are all very hungry and couldn't wait to start eating the r delicious food that Black Bear Diner is known for, but as we started getting our plates/containers, we find that everyone orders weren't as we ordered. Yuck, just no in every way. I am sure many people like it so I mean no offense. Tried a breakfast that used low quality ingredients. Service was whatever-- fine.

The ONLY reason I gave it any stars is the service was super friendly! Unfortunately, amazing service is not a reason I would go back. Ever. The atmosphere, food/drink choices and quality of meat was deplorable. I took a to-go box to be polite (after only being able to choke down 1/4 of my entrée), but immediately threw it in the trash where it belonged. I hate to settle for mediocre chain-quality steak, but thought to myself, "I should've gone to Texas Roadhouse," while walking out.
Ordered a BLT with extra crispy bacon. Bacon was undercooked and chewy. Waitress never came back after dropping off my food so I could send it back. When I was paying the hostess asked how it was I said terrible and she said sorry. No inquiry into why is was awful so they could correct. This is the 2nd time I've had this experience at Black Bear. I thought the 1st time was a bad night turns out it's a bad place.
Very bad management skills when the manager comes in and starts yelling and cursing at employees if front of customers .No one deserves to be talked to the way these two girls was talked to or to be embarrassed infront of her customers that she had to still serve . even those she came back to the table with excellent service you can tell it was weighing on her . This was our second visit, as we decided to give them a second chance. My meal was inedible. I ordered chicken fettuccini. A frozen dinner is about 100 x better. I sent it back, the waitress didn't offer to bet me something else. I did enjoy the pumpkin cheesecake. My wife ordered ribs, she said she never wanted to go back.
This food was horrible I ordered through DoorDash and honestly I just believe if you don't go in and sit down, they don't care about your food. I believe my food was poorly made because it was getting delivered to me. My potatoes were burnt and hard inside not fully cooked like they rushed to cook them I don't understand how they can be burnt and hard. My food was pure cold and it only took 10 mins to get delivered I just honestly want a refund because that was horrible never again will I eat here
We went to black bear diner this afternoon for lunch with my family it was my brother in law's birthday service was slow appetizers didn't come out before our lunch I don't know if someone was new in the kitchen but orders were coming out mixed up no corn bread with the chicken fried steak salad came out after we were already eating broccoli wasn't on the other plate server made adjustments don't know if we will be back can't say it was busy because it was almost empty

Dine in | Dinner | $10-20 Normally, I enjoy going to Black Bear Diner. However, after my experience on May 31st, I am not sure I will return. My husband and I went for a late supper. I ordered the shrimp and chips but declined the french fries in lieu of a cup of soup with some cornbread. The order is supposed to come with 6 breaded fried shrimp & coleslaw.
