Iliff Ave Aurora, Co 80014 My Brother and I went to the establishment on Friday 03/28/2025 at 7:16 pm we ordered the two fish dinners at $15.99 each mind you that's all the fish you can eat. Our order came to the table. The fish was badly overcooked so hard. You could pick up the fish and throw it through the window and break the glass window. So I ask for Manager of the dinner. Went here because they advertised a corned beef and cabbage special. Tried to order it and was told they didn't have any left ( at 6:30 pm). OK, so I order an item listed as new, a chicken pot pie. It comes and it's beautiful. Start eating and come to find out there's not a single piece of chicken in the entire pie. Disappointing, yes but I ate it anyway. Then we're walking to the register to pay and, low and behold, thes a customer eating her salad backed up by a big plate of... corned beef and cabbage.

Not very good, omelet was ok, ingredients tasted fresh, and it was 3 eggs as advertised. The strip cut hashbrowns were terrible, dry and old tasting like they had been sitting on the grill for a couple of hours. I think the cook used my browns to clean the grill before serving them to me. Not worth the price that I paid. There are better restaurants everywhere else except here.

I ordered online and arrived at the designated time. The order wasn't ready so I was asked to wait. After about 10 minutes no one had checked back so I approached the cashier. It turns out my order had been there since I arrived. My malt was little more than strawberry flavored milk...it had melted and there was no malt in it. The Reuben was terrible.... the pastrami was like shoe leather and it was drowning in thousand island dressing. Won't be back.

Definitely not the pride of the fleet. Service was nice and the dining room was reasonably clean. But the food just didn't meet expectations. Club sandwich was uneven at best. Bacon was not crispy. Fries were stale. It's too easy to make fries fresh. Why serve fries out of a bin when you can cook them fresh for each customer? Black bear diners in general have become extremely inconsistent in food quality and service. The worst in the world is Emeryville California. Shasta Lake is one of the better ones. Offer "savory " cornbread in addition to the super sugary confectionery. Savory as opposed to sweet or at least offer a choice.
Ordered the turkey diner. If you love Salt, you'd love this meal. If you have hypertension maybe not. Mashed potatoes and cheddar Mac was good. Large fresh salad with a delicious corn muffin. Sweet tea was nice. Service. I had to hunt down my pepper. Asked for sweet tea no lemon. Second round unsweetened with lemon. Sat with an empty glass for most of my meal. Please be aware, if you place a "to go order" you will be charged a "packaging fee." We just experienced this today ($2.03) for one bag that other places charge you .10 cent, if that. Now it could be happening in other places, but this was very noticeable and you also if you want to tip on top of this. My thoughts are "to go" customers are saving these places a lot of money, when you consider no server has to seat them, bring out beverages plus refills, bring food to the table or clean up and set up the next customers.

The worst Biscuits and Gravy I've had! Biscuits were made ahead of time and then reheated in a microwave. Gravy was extremely salty and had no flavor. It was stale and bland!
